    In Consideration of my/our child being allowed to participate in any way for the Tipton Girls Softball League program for the 2026/2027 season, its related events and activities, the undersigned acknowledges, appreciates, and agrees that:

    The risk of injury from the activities involved in this program is significant, including the potential risk for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce the risk, the risk of serious injury does exist; and

    I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the releases or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If, however, I observe an unusual and significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately, and

    I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless Tipton Girls Softball League, and it's officers, officials, agents and/or volunteers, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event, with respect to all injury, disability, death, or loss or demage to person or property, wheather arising from the negligence of the releases or otherwise, to the fullest extent by law.

    If a child leaves a practice or game for any medical reason, the league and/or coach may require a medical clearance from a physician before he or she is allowed to return. At any time, a coach can require medical clearance for a player to be able to participate or play at his/her own discretion.

    Photo release statement: I also hereby consent, without further consideration or compensation, to use (full/partial) of all photos, audios, or videos made of my child or family members during TGSL sporting events, for events documentation, promotional materials, or web content. Further, I release TGSL and its volunteers from any liability, which may arise from the use of those photos.

    Player Code of Conduct

    Tipton Girls Softball League has implemented the following Code of Conduct. Players should read, understand, and sign this form prior to attending the first practice. Any player violating this code of conduct at any game or practice will be disciplined (playing time/suspension) from upcoming games. Further disciplinary matters will be considered by the TGSL Board. All disciplinary actions will be handled on a case-by-case basis and will be evaluated thoroughly. Repeat violations may cause a multiple-game suspension or removal from the team.

    1. I will represent myself, my family, my team, and the Tipton Youth Softball League with dignity, honesty, and integrity at all times.

    2. I will play with pride and intensity no matter the circumstances of the game, and will always encourage my teammates to do the same.

    3. I will support my teammates and maintain a positive attitude at all times.

    4. I will be courteous and respectful to my teammates, coaches and game officials.

    5. I will not argue with game officials for any reason.

    6. I will refrain from outbursts of anger, temper, and poor sportsmanship.

    7. I will never direct negative or critical cheers or comments toward anyone.

    8. I will not use vulgar or offensive language (swearing) or gestures, regardless of the circumstances.

    9. I will not use physical or verbal intimidation towards anyone.

    10. I will attend and be on time to all practices and games and be ready to participate. (Communication with coach MUST be made in instances of absence)

    11. I will be properly and appropriately attired for participation on the field.

    12. I will be responsible for my own equipment as well as team equipment.

    13. I will do no harm to any facilities or fields, and I will not intentionally damage team equipment.

    14. I will not post inappropriate or negative comments on ANY social media outlet about my teammates, coaches or opponents.

    15. No alcohol, drugs or weapons of any kind.

  • Tipton Girls Softball League Code of Conduct

    Parent Code of Conduct

    Tipton Girls Softball League has implemented the following Code of Conduct. Parents should read, understand, and sign this form prior to their children participating on this team. Any parent violating this code of conduct at any game or practice will be asked to leave the sports facility, and the matter will go before the TGSL Board. All disciplinary actions will be handled on a case-by-case basis and will be evaluated thoroughly. Repeat violations may cause a multiple-game suspension. or the season forfeiture of the privilege of attending all games. If a parent/guardian is removed permanently from TGSL, the PLAYER WILL ALSO be removed, effective immediately.

    1. I will remember that children participate to have fun and that the game is for youth, not adults.

    2. I will learn the rules of the game and the policies of the league.

    3. I (and my guests) will be a positive role model for my child and encourage sportsmanship by showing respect and courtesy, and by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, officials, and spectators at every game, practice, or other sporting event. 

    4. I (and my guests) will not engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, coach, player, or parent, such as booing and taunting, using profane language, or gestures. 

    5. I will teach my child to play by the rules and to resolve conflicts without resorting to hostility.

    6. I will demand that my child treat other players, coaches, officials, and spectators with respect, regardless of race, creed, color, sex, or ability.


    7. I will teach my child that doing one's best is more important than winning, so that my child will never feel defeated by the outcome of a game or his/her performance.

    8. I will never ridicule or yell at my child or other participants for making a mistake or losing a competition.

    9. I will emphasize skill development and practices, and how they benefit my child over winning.

    10. I will promote the emotional and physical well-being of the athletes ahead of any personal desire I may have for my child to win. 

    11. I will respect the umpires/league staff and their authority during games and will never question, discuss, or confront coaches at the game field, and will take time to speak with coaches at an agreed-upon time and place. 

    12. I will demand a sports environment for my child that is free from drugs, tobacco, and alcohol, and I will refrain from their use at all sports events.

    13. I will refrain from coaching my child or other players during games and practices, unless I am one of the official coaches of the team.

    14. I understand I may be asked to remove my child from a game or practice by coaching staff for conduct detrimental to a team atmosphere.
