A Photography Exhibition at Studio 55 Martinez
STUDIO 55 MARTINEZ invites photographers of all backgrounds and experience levels to submit photographic work that speaks to these unprecedented & transformative times.
From the mundane (though often epic) challenges of everyday life, to revolutionary change both at home and worldwide.
Our world is a complex web of developing stories,ever expanding, contracting, and evolving.
Eligibility:
- Open to emerging and established photographers
- All photographic processes accepted
- Black & white and color work welcome
- Absolutely no AI generated images
Dates & deadlines:
- Submission Deadline: January 15, 2026
- Artist Notification: January 23, 2026
- Artwork Drop-Off/Shipping: Friday - Sunday, after January 23 (hours 12-4pm)
- Opening Reception: February 15th, 1-4pm
- Art Pickup: After Sunday, March 8
-Exhibition Dates: February 7 to March 7
Submission guidelines:
- Submit up to 5 images
- Images should be JPEG, PNG, TIFF, OR PDF format
- Include image title, price, medium/process, and dimensions
- Size limit – largest 24”, smallest 12”
Fees & sales agreement:
- Submission Fee: $20 up to 5 entries (non-refundable)
- Exhibited work must be available for sale
- 25% commission (to gallery) upon sale of artwork.
- 75% of art sales to artist, paid by check, or third party wire-transfer (venmo or paypal) at the end of the exhibition
Work must be “installation ready”, meaning:
- Work must be framed or gallery-wrapped and ready for hanging
- Flat D-ring, hardware, or wire must not be visible.
- Work must be ready to hang with a wire, saw-tooth hanger, or D-ring. If that's not possible, please contact the gallery to discuss alternative hanging options.
- Work must be clean and the frames in good condition
- Unframed canvas and panels must have gallery-wrapped sides with no staples visible.
The Artist's homeowner's or renter's insurance should cover any possible damage or loss to the artwork while it is outside the home. Please check the policy to insure any damage to artwork will be covered.
Studio 55 Martinez reserves the right to use images of art for marketing purposes.
