About Pawsitive Friendships
Since 2014, Pawsitive Friendships has been making a meaningful impact on the special needs community. Founded by Tosha, an Autism mom inspired by her son’s progress with the help of their French Bulldog, Zoe, the organization started as a personal mission to support her son's success. What began as daily activities at home has grown into a thriving program now offered in clinics, special education schools, and adult day programs across Maricopa County, with expansion underway in Pima County.
Pawsitive Friendships takes Animal Therapy to the next level by integrating Therapy Pets into goal-oriented, adaptive activities tailored to each individual’s needs. This unique approach helps participants achieve their goals in an engaging and enjoyable way, making progress without the pressure of “work.” The organization welcomes a diverse group of Therapy Pets, including dogs, cats, pigs, goats, mini horses, birds, rabbits, tortoises, ball pythons, and more.
Our Impact
This year alone, Pawsitive Friendships has served over 2,300+ individuals with special needs across Maricopa and Pima Counties.
Our Results
Through our specialized, goal-oriented curriculum, individuals develop essential skills, including fine and gross motor skills, executive functioning, communication, social-emotional learning, and more. Every session is designed to help participants reach their full potential.
