    Join local artist Carolyn Hibbard in this one-day workshop to learn the needle felting.

    Learn to needle felt with artist Carolyn Hibbard! Carolyn will teach you step by step how to needle felt your own decorative spring nest, with flet eggs to go inside!

    Open to ages 9 to adult (ages 9 to 11 must have a parent or guardian with them).

     

     

    Create a needle felted nest and eggs, the perfect way to welcome Spring into your home this season! This class will include adding mixed media such as moss and twigs to decorate and make your nest more life-like. It is an easy project for beginners and intermediate needle felters. Anticipate 3 hrs class time.

    Carolyn will teach safe and effective methods for felting, building shapes and using individual creativity to decorate and enhance your project.

     

    Artist Bio:
    Carolyn St. Clair Hibbard has been teaching needle felting in this community since 2019, this includes teaching teen Summer School classes at UVA. Carolyn is the owner of Swete Woolies Fiber Art and sells her needle felted dolls both here in the US and internationally. She recently developed a needle felting tool to assist felters in creating hands for their dolls and is the author of 'A Swete Book of Tales,' a book of pictures of her characters and their stories, which is available  on Amazon.
