An electrician who wants to learn a whole new way of looking at code and get equipped with speed navigating the NEC, lightning quick!
How do I know if I’m eligible to take the exam?
- If you have 2 years, 4 months (4,800 hours) work experience in residential. You qualify for the CA RESIDENTIAL JW Exam
- If you have 4 years (8,000 hours) work experience in commercial, you qualify for the CA GENERAL Exam
- If you have completed and graduated from an electrical trainee program in CA without the years in trade experience.
- If you are on your fourth year of a federal and state approved apprenticeship program or have completed the program (IBEW, ABC, WECA).
These all qualify you to take the test!!
And if you are not eligible but you are an Electrician in the field…
Still take the class! This method is a whole new way of looking at code. This course will benefit any Electrician wanting to find references FAST. Apply the techniques on the job, save money on labor, and save money by avoiding rework on installations by doing right the first time. Ultimately, be fully prepared to “know your stuff” before an inspector shows up on your jobsite.
Test Scheduling Tips
DO NOT WAIT FOR A TEST DATE‼️
When you schedule a test date before taking an exam prep course, you are limiting yourself with time to process, practice and prepare.
(If you were to fail the test, you would have to wait three months to take the test again)
We Strongly Advise 🚨
Get ahead of the exam and start studying now without a future test date. With a year of free courses after your initial registration, you will be more than ready when a test date comes along.
FYI: You have 48 hours before your scheduled test date to CHANGE your test date
What’s NOT Required?
A GED or high school diploma
Materials needed
An NEC 2020 softbound book is required for class.
Additional Important Information
The course covers both the Residential and the General Exam.
