COMPASSION & COMMUNITY SERVICE

This holiday camp will explore important questions that help us think about what it’s like to be different, what acceptance means and feels like, and how to live our lives in ways that honor all differences. Each MLK Camp includes a community service project. In the past, we have made food for food fridges, sandwiches for sandwich drives, assembled care packages for the unhoused, made dog toys and treats for shelters, and upcycled cards for the holidays to give to those in need.

This year, our community service project uses a portion of your camp registration fees to build care and hygiene packets for the unhoused. This project is something all ages can participate in, understand the need for, and easily distribute to reach many people who need it. I’ve had so many children share their experiences of giving these bags to others, and it truly helps bring awareness to communities that are often underserved in this city.

CANCELLATION and REFUND POLICIES: By signing my name below, I agree to the following: 1. that I am registering for KindTreeKids with Communication Interventions Program(s) 2. that my child(ren)'s spot is not reserved until full payment is submitted. 3. A full refund will be issued to any participant whose registration is cancelled a minimum of 7 days prior to the start of the camp. 4. Cancellations made less than seven days from the start date will result in a camp credit. 5. Credits may be used for future camps only and not for any other type of registration. 6. Cancellation requests must be sent to bullock.morley@gmail.com. 7. No refund will be given for a participant who is unable to attend a make-up session.*

COVID and ILLNESS POLICIES. By signing my name below, I agree to the following terams: 1.) We DO require that you keep your child home if they are sick or may be sick in any way. Children with fevers or who are visibly sick will be sent home immediately. 2.) If your child has had a fever, please do not send them to KindTreeKids and Communication Interventions programs unless they have been fever free for 48 hours. 3.) If your child has had a positive exposure to COVID in the last 3 days please do not send them to the program. 4.) If your child has recently had COVID, we ask that you do not return within 5 days and test negative for COVID before returning. 5.) I agree to not send my child to this program if ANY household members are testing positive for COVID. 6. I agree to notify Anita Bullock-Morley if any symptoms arise up to 5 days after the program meeting.*

RELEASE OF LIABILITY: By signing my name below, I agree to the following: 1.) I wish to have my child registered and participate in KindTreeKids and Communication Interventions HOLIDAY PROGRAMS 2026 and to have him/her participate in all activities; 2.) I release the camp, it’s directors, counselors, volunteers, and owner of the property, from any liability in connection with my child’s participation in any events and activities of the camp, which includes, without limitation, any liability related to an accident, an injury or illness suffered by my child (including COVID); 3.) I authorize the camp and persons associated therewith to consent to medical treatment for my child, to select the medical personnel, hospitals and/or clinics to treat my child in case of any accident, injury or illness that may occur; 4.) In the event of an emergency, I authorize the camp to contact my child’s doctor, to administer first aid, to take my child to a clinic or hospital (emergency room) or to take any other action deemed necessary by the camp or its employees.*
