COME & TRY VERSUS TEAM PLACEMENTS
Placement Day is an assessment session for athletes who are intending to join a 2026 team.
If you are wanting to come and try cheerleading to see if it’s the right fit, this is not the correct session to book.
Please register instead for one of our school holiday / come-and-try programs.
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
- All athletes must take part in warm up and cool down.
- Athletes should only attempt skills they can do safely.
- Arrive at the check-in time and sign in with the BASC coaches.
- Please stay in the designated check-in area until you are invited inside for your session.
To participate safely in Team Placements:
- Jewellery must be removed.
- Nails should be cut short.
- Hair must be tied up neatly.
- Cheerleading shoes should be worn on the air track; otherwise, shoes and socks must be removed (no sneakers on the equipment)
What Happens During Team Placements?
Team placements are used to evaluate athletes so we can place them in the most suitable team for the 2026 season. The process is simple and low key. Athletes will warm up, take part in basic skills, jumps, tumbling and stunting appropriate to their level, and work in small groups.
This is not a “come and try” class; it is an assessment session to help us place each athlete in the right team.
