  • Join us for an afternoon of delicious chili, family fun, and farm adventures at Lil’ Bit of Life’s 2nd Annual All-You-Can-Eat Chili Cook-Off and People’s Choice Contest! Sample mouthwatering chili recipes, explore the farm, and make lasting memories with your family and friends.

  • Event Details & Admission:

  • Adult Tickets: $15
    Youth Tickets (Ages 4-10): $10 (1 and under FREE)

    • Unlimited chili tastings and a chance to vote for your favorite!
    • Farm Tours & Animal Meet-and-Greets
    • Farm Fun Wagon Ride: Enjoy a scenic ride around the farm.
    • Photo Opportunities: Capture moments at our festive photo zones.
    • Firepit: Relax by the fire to end the day.
    • Optional Pony Rides: Available for purchase during the event.
    • Additional food, beverages, and farm merchandise will be available for purchase.

    Proceeds go to help support our GRITS 4H kids’ projects for the upcoming Lake County Fair in April!

  • Entry Fee: $20 donation to G.R.I.T.S. 4H Club’s project animals
    Chili Requirements: Bring your pre-cooked chili in a slow cooker

    Come share your culinary skills and help support our 4H kids while enjoying a fun-filled day on the farm!

  • Guidelines & Rules:

  • 1) Registration Fee: $20. All proceeds go to support GRITS 4-H Club projects.

    2) Ingredients: Chili must be homemade (no store-bought or packaged chili).

    3) Allergy Information: List all ingredients on a card to display by your chili.

    4) Serving Requirements: Bring at least 6 quarts (1.5 gallons) of chili and a serving spoon.

    5) Setup Time: Chili must be at the farm by 2:00 PM for setup and warming.

    6) Entrants Limit: Maximum of 15 participants

    7) We Provide: Tables, electricity, condiments, toppings, cups, spoons, and napkins.

    8) Submit your team logo to tracey@lilbitoflife.com 

    9) Make It Festive! We love creative booths! Feel free to decorate your space with signs, themes, costumes, or farm-inspired flair. While decorating is not required, it definitely adds to the fun for guests and judges alike. Please keep all decorations safe, secure, and suitable for an outdoor farm event.

  • Upon your Arrival:

  • We kindly request you to review the parking map provided below for your reference. As you approach the farm, we ask that you drive with caution, maintaining a slow pace down our driveway. After passing our house on the left, continue through the rear gate to locate a convenient parking spot. Follow the trail with blue arrows, guiding you through our goat area and leading you up to the check-in point.

  • Please remember that we are a farm. The farm has dirt, animals, poop, allergens, and a host of other potentially harmful hazards. We do our best to keep animals who are kind and reduce/remove potential hazards, but we are still a working farm. Enter the farm at your own risk - and enjoy your visit!
