  • Travel insurance is an important part of protecting your trip investment. Unexpected events can happen before or during travel, from flight disruptions and missed connections to medical emergencies, lost baggage, or natural disasters. These situations can result in significant out-of-pocket costs that are not covered by airlines, resorts, cruise lines, or travel agencies.

    For this reason, I strongly encourage all travelers to add a travel insurance policy that aligns with their plans and comfort level. Insurance can provide valuable coverage for cancellations, medical care abroad, emergency evacuation, and other unforeseen circumstances.

    If you choose not to purchase travel insurance, you will be asked to sign a waiver acknowledging that you are fully responsible for any losses, expenses, or interruptions that may occur before or during your trip. Social Escapes cannot provide compensation for situations outside of our direct control.
