Miss Maryland Chesapeake Charmers Application

The Miss Maryland Chesapeake Charmers is the official Maryland state chapter of the Miss America's Little Sisters mentoring program. We invite all young girls who want to participate in our non-competitive program, to join us for events leading up to the crowning of Miss Maryland and Miss Maryland's Teen!

Chesapeake Charmers Requirements:

Age:

Charmers must be between the ages of 3 years and 12 years old.

Availability:

Charmers will be crowned at a special crowning ceremony May 1st, in Hagerstown, Maryland.
Charmers attend the Miss Maryland Competition on the evenings of June 23 through June 26, 2026.
Charmers perform the National Anthem on June 24*.
Charmers are introduced on stage either June 24 or 25*.
Charmers attend an on-stage rehearsal mid-day June 25 to polish their simple choreography for their performance that evening at the Miss Maryland Teen Finals.
Charmers attend the Muffins with Mentors Morning on June 26, 2027.
Charmers attend a McDonald's luncheon on June 26, 2027

Clothing:

Crowning Ceremony

Charmers will be responsible for providing a spring "Tea Party" type dress in pastel florals, colors, and embellishments. Please keep the colors light and no limit to embellishments. Please wear nude/white/ or pastel shoes, preferably dress shoes but comfortable!
It may be cocktail length, high-low, or knee length.

National Anthem, On-stage Introduction and Miss Maryland's Teen Finals.

Charmers will be responsible for providing their own solid white dress per national requirements with nude or white dress shoes. Please break in the shoes prior to attending the events.
Your white dress may be a floor length gown, high-low, or knee length. We encourage you to show off your personal style and wear something that makes you feel confident!
Charmers will wear their official Miss America's Little Sisters crown and sash provided by the Miss Maryland Scholarship Opportunity.

Production Number with Miss Maryland and/or Miss Maryland's Teen

On-stage Rehearsal and Muffins with Mentors Morning

The Miss Maryland Scholarship Opportunity will provide Charmers with an official Chesapeake Charmers t-shirt.
Charmers will be responsible for white bottoms of their choice and atheletic shoes (on-stage safety)

Cost:

The 2027 Chesapeake Charmers all-in fee is $350. We offer a returning member discount and a sibling discount. Thank you for supporting the Chesapeake Charmers and Miss Maryland programs!
- We encourage you to register independently! You can register without a selected Mentor to expierence all the program has to offer. We can then help you find the perfect mentor as we navigate the season.
- Or...register with a delegate you already know! Reach out to them or they may reach out to you and include them in your registration.
