  • Youth Protection:
To ensure the safety of minor participants, we will follow these rules.

    1. For any program over 72 hours long, adults over 18, including staff, agree to participate in a background check provided by Atlantic Challenge USA.
    2. There will be no one-on-one alone time between an adult and a minor.
    3. There will be no photographing or filming where privacy is most needed: while changing clothes, inside tents and sleeping areas, or in bathrooms, and showering areas.
    4. Sleeping: Any tent sharing will be established and made known to the instructors before the start of the program. Minors sharing a tent must be no more than two years apart, unless the minor is choosing to share a tent with their parent, legal guardian or sibling. Solo tenting is welcome. In the case that the entire crew is sleeping on the boat, or in a single room together in a building, two instructors will be present and establish distinctive, and as separate as possible, areas for adults and minors to sleep.

If the Code of Conduct and Youth Protection rules are broken, the participant may be expelled from the program.

    1. Dates of Travel

  • Atlantic Challenge USA Sliding Scale:

The sliding scale represents the idea that financial resources, including income, are not and should not be the only determining factor in whether or not someone can access our programs. In an effort to offer more financial accessibility to a range of participants, and to continue to pay our staff a modest wage for their time, we offer a sliding scale for our program. If you have greater financial means and are able to contribute more, you will be helping the resiliency of our program, and our ability to offer more programs in the future.

    Sliding Scale Tuition:

    • Baseline rate: This covers the full cost of the program.
    • Supportive rate: This rate is 20% higher than the baseline and helps us offer more access to participants who cannot pay the full amount.
    • Reduced rate: This rate is 20% lower than the baseline, making our programs more accessible to those who need financial support.

To secure a spot in a program, you must either pay a $250 non-refundable security deposit or submit a Financial Aid Form.

  • Please be sure to click the "SUBMIT" button for BOTH the Financial Aid Form as well as the Registration Form below.

  • To complete your registration, please pay a $250 deposit via either the online payment options below or physical check. If your Total Tuition Due (as listed in the field above) is less than $250, please pay the complete balance at this time.

You are also welcome to make a larger or total payment at this time. Once your payment clears we will send an updated account statement with detailed payment deadlines to the email you provided on your registration form.
