  •  We would like to invite you to help us celebrate our Annual Gold Discovery Days event. The Arts & Crafts Festival will be held in Custer on Washington St between 5ᵗʰ Street and 6ᵗʰ Street. Once again for Gold Discovery Days, Washington Street in Custer will be blocked off from 8ᵗʰ Street all the way to 2ⁿᵈ Street.

     

    This will enable the majority of the weekend's events, including the carnival, to be held in one area. The registration fee provides each craft vendor with a space of 10' x 10' in size. All materials must be provided by the exhibitor (tables, chairs, shelter, etc This is an outdoor show and will be on concrete or grass. Please specify your preference. It will be to your benefit to bring appropriate shelter, as the weather is unpredictable. Fees are non-refundable after July 1ˢᵗ. SECURITY WILL BE PROVIDED FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHTS ONLY.

  • REGISTRATION FEE: Vendor booth spaces are $85.00 each. Food vendors are subject to an additional $75.00 city fee. We will make every effort to accommodate site location requests. A limited number of spaces with electricity are available for an additional charge - please call to confirm availability before applying. Vendors requiring electricity must bring their own three-wire grounded extension cords.

    Lamp guards must be used for any type of lighting and vendors are subject to health department inspection. All food vendors MUST obtain a temporary food license from the State of South Dakota. These must be applied for no less than two weeks in advance of the show.

     

    ADVERTISED SHOW TIMES: Friday 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM, Saturday 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM, and on Sunday 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Please plan to be set up and ready for business no later than the starting time each day. Your area must be cleaned up at the close of each day.

     

    SET-UP: The area will be available BETWEEN 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM on Thursday for set-up and 8:00 AM on Friday.

    REMEMBER, IF SETTING UP ON THURSDAY, THERE WILL NOT BE SECURITY ON THURSDAY NIGHT.

    Booth size is 10 x 10 if you need additional room for outside displays, please reserve two booth spaces; otherwise, all items must remain within the 10 X 10 booth space.

    Reminder: Vendor booths CANNOT be staked; they must be weighted. Limited Space Available. Register early.

    Any property damage caused by the vendor will be the vendor's responsibility within their designated area. Washington Street will be a ONE-WAY Street during this event. You must enter at the Chamber of Commerce on 6ᵗʰ Street, check in, and then proceed to your assigned space. Please unload your vehicle, then exit on 5th Street or 4th Street before setting anything up. This will allow other vendors access for unloading. Parking spaces are limited when unloading.

     

    The Custer Area Chamber of Commerce and Gold Discovery Days Committee are not responsible for theft, damage, or accidents.   • NO STAKING OF TENTS, BE PREPARED TO ANCHOR WITH WEIGHTS. DUE TO THE POSSIBILITY OF LIMITED SPACE ALL VENDORS WILL BE REQUIRED TO STAY WITHIN THE 10 X 10 ALLOTED SPACE. ALL VENDORS ARE REQUIRED TO REMAIN THROUGH THE ENTIRE SHOW.

    You may load and unload your vehicle at your specific location but you MUST move your vehicle as soon as it is unloaded. We also request that you be courteous to other vendors and unload and move your vehicle prior to setting up your booth, allowing others access to their area for unloading as well. Any damage to the area will be the sole responsibility of the vendor using that area. The Custer Chamber and the GDD Committee are not responsible for loss/damage to vendor property, please secure your space when not present.

    REMEMBER:Security will be furnished for Friday & Saturday nights only from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
