Two weeks after welcoming their baby boy, the Kotarsky family received heartbreaking news: their almost two-year-old daughter, Adelyn, was diagnosed with a rare pediatric tumor that was confirmed to be cancerous. In a very short time, she underwent MRIs, extensive lab work, and two surgeries within one week, including the placement of a port.

Adelyn began chemotherapy on her second birthday. Her treatment includes five-day inpatient hospital stays, along with ongoing monitoring, lab work, and care between cycles. She has already faced complications requiring a transfusion and an emergency room visit.

Due to the intensity of her treatment and her immunocompromised condition, both of her parents are currently out of work as they focus entirely on her care during this incredibly difficult time.
