Alternate between generative writing sessions (garner new inspiration) and accountability sessions (make real progress on your current projects).
During generative writing sessions, we will...
- read and discuss short published works by master writers;
- pick up craft techniques and explore new genres/styles; and
- use guided prompts to start new pieces.
During accountability sessions, we will ...
- set our intentions for the 2 hours;
- do a few 20-minute writing sprints (and an occasional 40-minute session); and
- have genre-based, small group check-ins to discuss your projects, build individual relationships, and ask your writerly peers those questions you've been dying to discuss.
At the end of every session — both generative and accountability — we'll debrief how writing went, and each writer will have an opportunity to briefly share a snippet of their work.
Please note that we will not workshop each other's writing in this writing group. Additionally, writers will not be expected to read or write outside of our sessions — although you are, of course, welcome to do so if you'd like!

To make this writing group as accessible as possible, I'm offering two ways to pay. You can submit your payment for either option in the form below.
OPTION 1: Pay Per Session
For writers with a busy/unpredictable schedule and writers seeking a looser writing practice, this is the most flexible option.
To receive the Zoom link, complete this form and submit payment BEFORE the session. Come to as many or as few sessions as you'd like and pay when you show up!

OPTION 2: The Best Friends Pass
For writers who want to "go all in" and plan on attending at least six of the eight sessions, this is the most cost-effective option.
Pay a lump sum up-front for all fourteen sessions. With the Best Friends Pass, you...
1) get to send me topics you want to explore during generative sessions,
2) give yourself extra accountability to show up and write every week, and
3) pay only $25 per session!
