Rallye length is 4 days and 4 nights (does not include optional early arrival Tuesday or drive home Sunday) tentatively from Wednesday September, 30th through Sunday, October, 4th. There will be an optional Pre-Rallye Dinner Tuesday Night September, 29th in Tazewell, VA. Official Rallye Start will be Wednesday early morning in Tazewell, VA and Rallye end will be breakfast Sunday morning in Niagra Falls, ON. The route will be covering right around 3,000 miles if you include your trip to and from the Rallye Start/End. Every night will be a different hotel and group block/room rate. A passport card/book will be required as we will be staying 2 nights within Canada along with our hotel stays in Maine and Vermont. Hotel specifics will be locked in and made available via e-mail updates as contracts are confirmed.
Event timing has been planned for the best chances to put us in the mountains of the North East US and Canada during peak/near peak fall foliage. Each day of the Rallye will have a different focus/theme providing a unique experience/itinerary each time we hit the open road. Different day's curated route(s) will offer varying benefits including scenic drives, bucket list stops, and overall once in a life time travel experiences. Each day unique lunch accomodations will be recommended for the group, and then group dinner suggestions for the evenings. Fuel/Pit Stop recommendations are also provided to ensure breaks every hour and a half or so of driving.
All teams will be provided with a route card that includes all GPS points required to follow the curated route allowing you to choose what pace you want to take throughout the day. We do use radios for group communication and strongly advise bringing one along for this event. Recommendations/Suggestions are provided for lodging, pitstops, food, etc. and we advise taking advantage of them. However nothing recommended is considered mandatory, leaving you to adjust your plans for the day accordingly.
You/your team are responsible for your lodging, food, fuel, and any other costs incurred during the Rallye. This event is a rallye not a race, and all local/federal laws must be followed/obeyed. By submitting this registration form you are confirming you (and your co-driver if applicable) are 18 years or older, licensed/insured, and are solely responsible for any accidents/incidents occuring while driving or otherwise before/during/after the event. Minors under the age of 18 are allowed as passengers but must be supervised by an adult at all times. Please make sure your vehicle is well maintained/ready for over 3,000 miles of travel and you have a contingency plan for any breakdowns etc. Last but not least another reminder you are responsible for your Passport Card/Book and any other documentation/requirements for you to legally cross the international border into and out of Canada.
We have reached our 10 registration minimum and all teams are locked in. 5 additional registration spots have been opened for a maximum of 15 teams. Once your registration is confirmed it is locked in/final and we will be sending out additional event information as it becomes available.
