    We welcome you to St Kilda West Beach for the 2026 Beach Tennis Tournament - bringing together local and international players for three jam packed days of beach tennis action.

  • CATEGORIES

    ITF / PRO CATEGORY
    Players at this level compete in ITF tournaments and regularly advance through the knockout stages. This category features the highest level of skill, athleticism, and competition. BT10 events will also offer consolation.

    CATEGORY A
    Advanced players who are training and competing with the goal of reaching the Pro level. Players at this level may have reached semi-finals or finals in former intermediate divisions and demonstrate strong technical and tactical ability.

    CATEGORY B
    Experienced players who have been competing for some time and show consistency and strategy in their game. Players may have reached semi-finals or finals in the former beginner categories.

    CATEGORY C
    Developing players who have been playing and competing for a while, or players with strong tennis or other racket sport backgrounds adapting to beach tennis.


    If any category does not meet the minimum number of participating teams, the organisation reserves the right to merge two categories (e.g., Category C with B or Category B with A).

  • Format

    ITF / PRO CATEGORY

    Knockout format.
    Matches will be played as best of two full sets to 6 games (tie-break to 7 points at 6–6).
    If sets are split, a match tiebreak (first to 10 points, win by 2) will be played as the third set.

    OPEN MIXED CATEGORY

    Matches will be played as best of two short sets to 4 games (tie-break to 7 points at 4–4).
    If sets are split, a match tiebreak (first to 10 points, win by 2) will be played as the third set.

    CATEGORIES A, B & C

    Group or round robin stage: one set to 6 games (tie-break to 7 points at 6–6).
    Top teams will advance to the knockout phase.

    AMERICANO EVENTS

    Format: rotating partners each round.
    Each match is a super tiebreak to 10 points (first to 10 points, no requirement to win by 2).

    The organisers reserve the right to merge categories or make adjustments to the format as required.

    Players can choose to play BT10 #1 (Pro) event and ONE Americano event. Only ONE Americano event allowed per player. For Junior Americano, players must be at that age or under by Friday 23rd Jan. For Masters events, players must be at that age or over by Friday 23rd Jan.

    Release of Liability


    Although the safety of all sports activities is of primary concern, sports and physical activities may cause injuries and/or death. I assume all risks and hazards incidental to the conduct of the activities and release, absolve, and hold harmless Victoria Beach Tennis and all its respective officers, agents, and representatives from any and all liability for injuries arising out of traveling to, participating in, or returning from the event. In case of injury, I hereby waive all claims against Victoria Beach Tennis, including all coaches and affiliates, all participants, sponsoring agencies, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event.

    I hereby give my consent for the use of social media by Victoria Beach Tennis and/or Rainbow Beach Tennis Victoria, and third parties, to share images or videos related to the sessions. This may include, but is not limited to, photographs, videos, or testimonials. I agree to be contacted by Victoria Beach Tennis to receive communications, updates, and marketing materials.

    I, the participant specified above, confirm that I have read all the information above and that I am in good health for the practice of Beach Tennis. I accept financial responsibility for any injury that I may cause either to myself or to any other participant due to my negligence. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Victoria Beach Tennis, their principals, agents, trainers, and volunteers from liability for the injury or death of any person(s) and damage that may result from my negligent or intentional act or omission while participating in activities offered by Victoria Beach Tennis. This includes, but is not limited to, parks, recreation areas, playgrounds, and any area selected for Victoria Beach Tennis beach tennis practice.

    All registrations are non-refundable. If the event is forced to be cancelled due to weather, a credit for future Victoria Beach Tennis tournaments will be offered.
