Total Wine & More - Wine Tasting
A holiday special is being planned for Wednesday, December 3rd, at Total Wines, 5170 Stevens Creek Boulevard. It will be a tasting of Italian wines. The time will be from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. We will be sampling about 7 or 8 regional wines from the North to the South that are moderately priced, just in time for some great holiday gifts and menu planning.
The Total Wine concept is quite innovative and offers an amazing selection of both varietal and geographic wines from around the world. Naturally, we will be exploring Italian varietals.
In planning for this event with store manager Tina Nguyen, I have already done my own explorations and got reacquainted with some old favorites! It is difficult to have some of these wines at your fingertip. My favorite wine shop used to be Beltramo's in Menlo Park, which is sadly no longer there. Filling the gap for me is Total Wines. There are a couple of outlets in the area and the Stevens Creek store is centrally located in proximity to Lawrence Expressway with good parking.
Total Wine has at their facility a Seminar Room that sits approximately 40 guests. The presenters are very knowledgeable about their product, and Total Wines even has a sommelier associated with the store. The cost of the event is $25 a person, which also includes some antipasti and breads to go along with the tasting. You are also able to purchase the wines sampled. Browse the store, and chat with the lecturer about a favorite wine or gift suggestion.
Please register for this event by December 2, subject to slots available. Since classroom space is limited, only those who have a confirmed pre-paid reservation will be able to attend the seminar
