  • Note

    * Hawaiian EPs must contain 75% tracks in the Hawaiian language. All other releases must be entered in EP of the Year category. * EPs are not eligible in any Genre category - those are reserved for full albums. * Only select Song of the Year, or Instrumental Song of the Year if they appear on this EP release. * If you have a Single of the Year entry that appears on this release, it still must be entered on the separate form for Single of the Year.
  • Composer’s Awards

    Song of the Year and Instrumental Composition of the Year Composers Awards, new songs and first–time recordings of original materialshould be listed here for consideration on the preliminary ballot. PLEASE NOTE: ONCE THE DEADLINE HAS PAST YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ADD ANY MORE NAMES TO YOUR SUBMISSION.
  • Instrumental Composition of the Year – One (1) new composition only that appears on this release:

    Instrumentals are not eligible for Song of the Year.
  • Adjudicated and Engineering Categories.

    Artists must be Hawai‘i State residents in the Adjudicated and Engineering Categories. U.S. Mainland resident ARE eligible in the Haku Mele and Hawaiian Language Performance categories. International artists are only eligible in the International Album Special Recognition Award category. Please indicate which categories you wish to enter by checking the appropriate box:
  • Engineering

    Engineers must be Hawai‘i residents to be eligible in this category. Engineers must have contributed to a minimum of 51% of the recording Hawai‘i residents in order to be eligible. PLEASE NOTE: ONCE THE DEADLINE HAS PAST YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ADD ANY MORENAMES TO YOUR SUBMISSION. There are two different engineering categories. EP releases accepted into Hawaiian EP of the Year are eligible for Hawaiian Engineering category. All others will be placed in the General Engineering category. You will be required to provide two (2) tracks of the engineer’s choice in WAV format that best exemplify the engineer’s craft.

    Liner Note annotators must be Hawai‘i residents to be eligible in this category.

  • Haku Mele

    This category is for mele or oli primarily in the Hawaiian language that are first–time recordings of original material. Hawai‘i and U.S. Mainland residents are eligible; foreign residents are not. PLEASE NOTE: ONCE THE DEADLINE HAS PAST YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ADD ANYMORE NAMES TO YOUR SUBMISSION. Only one (1) composition per composer per release; is permitted; Compositions co-written with one or more composers may be submitted up to a total of three (3) distinct composer(s)/composer groups per release.
  • Lyrics and Translations must be sent in a PDF format, DO NOT list composer(s) name(s) on them.

  • General Release Information

    A red asterisk means that you must enter something in the field. If it is not applicable to your release simply enter "none."

  • Acknowledgement of Responsibility

    Responsibility for completeness and accuracy of the information on this form resides with the artist, artist representative, record label, or whoever submits this form. Knowingly misrepresenting information on the nomination form may be grounds for disqualification. I acknowledge that the entry form and all submission materials must be RECEIVED BY THE HARA OFFICE by the deadline found at the top and bottom of this form, and that should they not be received by this date this entry will be disqualified.
