  • 🏁 Professional Conversation

How to prepare for the final part of the Application Process: your Professional Conversation with a UCA Assessor.
  • Β

The final stage of the UCA Fellow (FMUCA) Membership Application is a 60-minute Professional Conversation with members of the UCA Assessor Team.

This conversation is designed as a collegiate, reflective dialogue rather than a formal assessment. It provides space for you to bring your application to life, expand on your experience, and explore your contribution to the coaching profession at Fellowship level.

The purpose of the Professional Conversation is to give you the opportunity to:

    • Elaborate on aspects of your application where further context or insight may be helpful
    • Showcase a practical example of your work that reflects your professional maturity and impact
    • Demonstrate how you navigate ethical complexity and professional responsibility in practice
    • Explore how your experience, values, and contribution align with UCA Fellowship standards

During the conversation, you will be invited to:

    • Provide a brief context of your coaching, mentoring, or supervision practice
    • Demonstrate your understanding and application of the UCA Coach Competency Framework at a senior level
    • Share an example of working effectively with a client, organisation, or system through a complex or challenging scenario
    • Discuss how you ensure ethical compliance, reflective practice, and professional accountability in your work

    Next Steps

Following submission of your Fellowship application, you will be contacted within 14 days to arrange your Professional Conversation.

Professional Conversations are conducted by a panel of UCA Assessors who are highly trained and experienced in reviewing Fellowship and senior-level applications.
