November 2025 PostSecondary SIS Meeting
Learning Outcomes:
Participants will identify way to apply OT framewoks to supporting disabled teens and young adults employment search goal.
Participants will implement ways to educate clients about their legal rights during the interviewing process.
The presentation will focus on OTs role in supporting disabled teens and young adults pursuit of competative emplyment. We will focus on the benefits of competative employment for achieving independence and ways OT can apply occupational performance frameworks to the job search to support client goals.
About the Speaker:
Veda Collmer is the founder of Autism Serices for Teens and Young Adults. Veda is a lawyer and an occupational therapist with more than 5 years helping teens and yound adults with disabilities achieve independence as they transition to adulthood.
