Good to know info about our workshops:

Workshops take place in our upstairs gallery space. Our address is 4315 Harford Road Baltimore 21214.
All materials are included in the cost of the workshop.
Age restriction: Most workshops are 16+ unless otherwise stated. If you have a 12-15yo that is interested in a particular workshop, please reach out to ask! They must be accompanied by an adult who is also participating in the class and has purchased a ticket.
Free street parking. We are allowed to use the parking lot across the street at Value Drug (4226 Harford Road). There is additional parking in the lot at Safeway one block away.
Workshops are non-refundable but can be transferred to another person if there is an emergency/illness/situation where you can't make it. There may be someone on our waitlist that would like to purchase the ticket. Contact us as soon as possible to let us know: 443-915-2647.
We take photos of the process in our workshops to use for promotion. If you would prefer for you or your work to NOT be in any shop photos, please let us know.
Classes are limited to 10 people in most cases.

Kinusaiga Sunset Making

Workshop Description: This no-sew project uses the “kinusaiga” technique, which involves tucking fabric into foam for a quilted look. The finished project is 5" square and you will be provided with a frame so it is ready to hang. Participants can choose their fabrics and color scheme to make this project their own. A design template will be provided. This class is suitable for any level – must be comfortable using a craft knife (x-acto knife). All materials provided.

Workshop Description: Board + Paper + Fabric = Handmade Journal!

Make a versatile, lay-flat hardcover journal using fabric tabs for the binding. It's a great fabric scrap-buster and "no sew" technique, making it ideal for junk journals, albums, and sketchbooks.

All materials will be provided to make your book, but if you have a favorite fabric, you're welcome to bring it!

Workshop Description: Join Baltimore-based mixed media artist Sarah Deming for a relaxed and inspiring abstract painting workshop where you will connect with your inner artist. In this 3-hour session, participants will explore the expressive and intuitive nature of abstract art through color, shape, and texture.

This workshop is perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike—or as a creative outing for friends! Sarah will guide participants in creating layered, freeform compositions using mixed media painting and drawing materials on a studio-quality wood panel. Sarah teaches techniques that emphasize personal expression over perfection. Think of it as a visual meditation—similar in spirit to adult coloring books, but with a brush and canvas.

Each participant will experiment with color, composition, and mark-making to create a 11” x 14” abstract artwork ready to display or gift by the end of the workshop.
