Workshop Description:  A practical, affordable, and equity-centered overview of the college search and application process. I combine admissions guidance, financial aid navigation, and identity-affirming campus research in an interactive format that centers students’ needs and strengths.

Learning objectives:

Provide an overview of the current landscape of the college application process, highlighting key differences between our generation and this one. 

Identify college characteristics that matter for belonging, career readiness, and success (policies, services, campus climate, local community).

Use targeted strategies to build a balanced college list that reflects academic fit, affordability, and identity and support needs.

Understand key financial aid options (FAFSA, outside scholarships, and institutional aid) and next steps.

Prepare application and campus-visit questions to assess supports (housing, health, counseling, identity concerns).

Create a personalized action plan with timelines and resources.

Workshop:  Kinusaiga Bird.| Instructor:  Marisa Canino. | Date:  Sunday, March 22 2026. |. Time:  11am-1:30pm. |. Price $65 |. Skill level:  Beginner Age 14+

Workshop Description:  This no-sew project uses the “kinusaiga” technique, which involves tucking fabric into foam for a quilted look. The finished project is 5" square and you will be provided with a frame so it is ready to hang. Participants can choose their fabrics and color scheme to make this project their own. A design template will be provided.  This class is suitable for any level – must be comfortable using a craft knife (x-acto knife). All materials provided.

Workshop:  Collage at the Disco-create a custom 2D disco ball inspired by Ali's disco ball series!| Instructor:  Ali Solonche (Skyqueen Studio) | Date:  Saturday, March 28 2026. |. Time:  2-4:30pm. |. Price $65.|. Skill level:  Beginner Age 14+

Workshop Desription:  A unique collage workshop where Ali will teach you how to make your own 2D collage disco ball.  Inspired by her disco ball series, you will get a behind the scenes look at her process and she will help you create a custom 6" disco ball to take home.
