Home Baseline ImPACT Testing (Ages 12+)

 

Before You Begin:
Review these instructions with the test taker.  If the test will be taken at a later time, either save a snapshot of these instructions or print for reference.

Computer Setup

1. Use a computer (not tablet/phone) with a screen larger than 12" and broadband internet.
2. Close all other programs and disable pop-up blockers.
3. Use Chrome or Firefox for best results.
4. Ensure JavaScript and cookies are enabled.
5. Install Adobe Flash Player 11.0+ if prompted (www.adobe.com).

Access the Test

1. Purchase the test using this link.
2. Launch the test here: https://www.impacttestonline.com/htmllauncher/
3. Customer code: 9580e9673c
4. Select your school, organization, OR Pediatric Associates of Austin.
5. Read Testing Tips below, then when ready to test, click “Launch Baseline.”

 Testing Tips

1. Allow 45 minutes in a quiet, distraction-free space.
2. Consider noise-cancelling headphones if needed.
3. Read all instructions carefully — test questions are timed.
4. Focus on both speed and accuracy; this is a test of brain efficiency, not intelligence.
5. If using an external mouse, use it consistently (except when instructed to press “P” or “Q”).
6. Avoid rushing or mixing up left/right clicks.
7. Dyslexia: Instructions may be read aloud — if not possible at home, schedule testing in-office.
8. ADD/ADHD: Take medication as you would for school.

After the Test

ImPACT does not automatically notify us when a test is done.
