Dear Parents, Friends, and Supporters of Austin High,
We are excited to launch the 2025–26 Austin High Academy Opportunity Fund Capital Campaign (formerly known as Community Partners). This campaign provides life-changing opportunities for students by funding travel scholarships for curriculum-based learning expeditions and other educational experiences.
In previous years, the four academies at Austin High (ACS, ADT, AGS and ASI) have run separate campaigns to raise funds for each academy's individual trips. In an effort to simplify, we are joining forces this year to fundraise together. Be assured that by choosing your student’s academy below, the funds you donate will continue to be used by that academy.
Each year, our students take part in incredible journeys. This year’s plans include upperclassmen traveling to Thailand, Italy, Panama and San Francisco, while freshmen and sophomores explore Dallas, Boston, San Francisco, Costa Rica, and special Texas destinations such as Navasota, NASA, Port Aransas, and Marfa. These trips are not just adventures—they are hands-on learning experiences that build curiosity, confidence, and lifelong memories.
More than 25% of AHS students need financial assistance to participate in these opportunities. Thanks to your generosity, we raised over $110,000 last year—enough to ensure that every student who needed support received it. This year, our goal is to provide $125,000 in scholarships, and we can only achieve it with your help. Funds raised go directly toward full and partial scholarships, making travel accessible to all. To give you a sense of the need: Texas trips typically cost around $500 per student, trips to Boston, San Francisco, or Costa Rica range from $2,000–$2,500, and other international experiences average $4,000.
By donating to the AHS Opportunity Fund, you are investing directly in students’ futures. Every dollar helps open doors to discovery, connection, and motivation for young people who might otherwise miss out. Together, we can uphold our belief: “We ALL travel, or we don’t travel at all!” because we do not want finances to be a deterrent to students being able to participate in this experiential learning.
