SCHOOL DANCE AGREEMENT OF EXPECTATIONS
To ensure that everyone involved with the Jonathan Law High School dances is aware of our expectations regarding dance behavior and alcohol/substance abuse, the school administrators require that this agreement be read and reviewed.
ALL PARTICIPANTS AGREE TO:
Arrive at the dance free of the influence of any illegal substance; comply with all legal and safety rules of Jonathan Law HS and the building, eg. no smoking/vaping, no drinking, no drugs, no trespassing in areas so designated.
- Dance in a manner that is appropriate for a school dance.
- Follow Milford Public Schools’ dress code
- Once you leave the dance, you can not return. Administrators reserve the right to call an adult to pick up those, who, in their opinion, have violated these expectations. In addition, violation of the expectations regarding alcohol and substance abuse will result in any or all of the following consequences:
- Immediate removal from the dance
- Suspension from school
- Referral for possible expulsion
- Denial of extra curricular activities for a period of up to a year including graduation ceremonies
- Administrators are authorized to use alcohol - sensing breathalyzer devices for students entering school dances and events when they have reason to suspect a student has consumed alcohol at or prior to the dance.
- Students wishing to leave prior to 9:30 PM need written permission from a parent indicating how they will be picked up ( parent pickup, student driving, etc.)
- All participants must comply with all legal and safety rules of Jonathan Law HS.
We, the undersigned parent/guardian and student attending the dance, have read, agree to, and have discussed the Jonathan Law High School Dance Expectations and the potential consequences of not complying with these expectations.
