Shake-A-Leg Miami – Terms and Conditions
Access and Operating Hours.
- Business hours will be from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Boat arrivals and departures are allowed only during business hours or by scheduling in advance with the Shake-A-Leg Miami Facility Manager.
- Guests may remain at the facility until 6:00 PM. After this time, access is restricted unless prior approval has been granted.
- Exceptions may be approved only through prior discussion with the Shake-A-Leg Miami Facility Manager.
Boat Storage and Overnight Stays
- Overnight docking without prior authorization is strictly prohibited.
- Shake-A-Leg Miami is not responsible for any damage, loss, or theft of boats, equipment, or personal belongings left on the premises.
Responsibility and Liability
- Guests use the marina at their own risk.
- Shake-A-Leg Miami assumes no responsibility for any injury, accident, or harm that may occur on the property or in the water. All participants are required to sign liability forms before engaging in any activities.
- Guests must comply with all local, state, and federal boating regulations.
- All companies must add Shake-A-Leg Miami as an additional insured on their Certificate of Insurance (COI).
- A valid COI must be provided at the time of contract signing.
Behavior and Conduct
- All guests must behave in a safe and respectful manner.
- Shake-A-Leg Miami reserves the right to deny access or remove individuals who fail to comply with these terms or engage in unsafe conduct.
- This includes fishing tournaments and other group events. Shake-A-Leg Miami reserves the right to deny access to individuals or groups that engage in rude, disruptive, or unsafe behavior.
- Guests must wear a shirt and appropriate bottoms at all times.
- Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property.
- Public nudity or any form of indecent exposure is strictly prohibited.
Payments and Fees
- Marina usage fees use are outlined at the time of reservation and must be paid according to the agreed schedule.
- A 50% deposit is required to reserve the date, and the remaining 50% must be paid in full prior to arrival.
- All other expenses incurred, or use of additional facility spaces, must be paid using the credit card on file.
- Additional facility spaces (e.g., third floor, event rooms, docks) must be reserved in advance. Last-minute or same-day requests may not be accommodated.
-Any donations are separate from your docking or service fees and are greatly appreciated to support Shake-A-Leg Miami’s mission.
- Shake-A-Leg Miami reserves the right to update rates with prior notice.
Food and Beverages
- Food and beverage service is not automatically included as part of regatta or event experiences.
Shake-A-Leg Miami can assist with arranging catering or refreshments upon request. Please contact Lucia at Lucia@shakealegmiami.org to coordinate.
Participation & Liability Waiver
In consideration of Shake-A-Leg Miami, Inc. (“SALM”) extending to me the opportunity to perform services for, utilize services of, or participate in programs provided by SALM, I fully assume all risks that might arise, both known or unknown, whether inherent to the program or activity in which I am engaging or any risks that are not inherent, and waive all liability for all such risks. This includes, without limitation, any potential liability that SALM may have for its own negligence or the negligence of any of its agents, officers, directors, or employees, in connection with my participation in the program or activity.
To the extent permitted by law, I and my heirs, representatives, executors, or administrators, and my undersigned parent, guardian, or aide (if applicable), remise, release, indemnify, acquit, hold harmless, and forever discharge SALM and its directors, officers, employees, agents, instructors, volunteers, rescue and support personnel, from any and all claims and liability. This includes, without limitation, liability for SALM’s and its representatives’ negligence, and all obligations, damages, claims, causes of action, judgments, costs, and charges which I may suffer or which may be incurred by me for any reason, whether during travel to and from the activity/program, or during participation, whether resulting from acts, omissions, negligence, or acts of God/nature.
I agree to assume liability for any and all damages to SALM property that I cause, or that I cause due to my participation in any SALM activity. During my participation, I agree to comply with all SALM rules and regulations, applicable county and municipal ordinances, and the laws of the State of Florida and the United States.
Photography & Media Consent
I give my full and unconditional permission to SALM to photograph, video, or record me during program activities, and for the free use of my name, likeness, and image (including without limitation permission to use any photo or video in which I may appear) in any present or future media story, promotion, advertisement, or account of an SALM-related program, event, or activity. This includes use on social media, websites, and publications, as well as in connection with public relations or fundraising.
I understand that I will not receive compensation for this use, waive any rights to inspect or approve the final use, and release SALM from any and all claims related to such use.
Amendments
- Shake-A-Leg Miami reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time.
- Continued use of the facility constitutes acceptance of any changes.
Shake-A-Leg Miami – Marina Cancellation Policy
Reservations
- Reservations may be made for daily, overnight, weekly, or seasonal docking.
Cancellations
- Daily Reservations: Full refund if canceled 24 hours in advance. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable.
- Overnight Reservations: Full refund if canceled 48 hours in advance. Cancellations within 48 hours incur a 50% fee.
- Weekly or Seasonal Reservations: Full refund if canceled 14 days in advance. Cancellations within 14 days incur a 25% cancellation fee.
No-Shows
- Failure to arrive without prior notice will be considered a no-show, and fees are non-refundable.
Exceptions
- Special circumstances may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Shake-A-Leg Miami Facility Manager.
