2026 Armed Forces Torchlight Parade Participant Application

 Event Date and Time:  Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 7:45 pm (new time)

Applications close on Friday, April 17, 2026

Final instructions and line-up will be sent out the first week of May.

Please be advised - The SLFA has been notified by the Office of the Mayor that a new city policy standardizing parade routes has resulted in a reduction of the Armed Services Torchlight Parade route. We are deeply disappointed by this decision, as it directly impacts an 88-year-old tradition that has long been a source of pride in our community. We appreciate your continued participation and support as we work to honor and preserve this historic event. The great news is that while the route has been modified, our commitment to our Armed Forces and Community will remain at the highest standard possible.

Please note: Service dogs and approved Equestrian units are the only animals allowed in the parade. The service animal must be leashed at all times. The SLFA is not responsible for the care of the service dog at any time.

Please be advised that the staging times + parade length + getting back to your final mode of transportation = approximately 6-8 hours and should be considered when determining if the parade is a right fit for the animal.
