  • Welcome to the venue registration form for DORSET ART WEEKS 2026.

     

    Please read the following carefully.

    • Before completing this form make sure you have read the online Artist FAQs and Registration Guidance document. This will help you select the correct fee option and gather the necessary information to complete your venue registration form.
    • Please use capitalisation for proper nouns, names etc where appropriate but please DO NOT USE CAPITALS for text. This helps us format venue details efficiently.
    • You can save this form by going to the bottom and clicking 'SAVE' (you do not need to create an account - click 'Skip create an account'.
    • REGISTRATION CLOSES - WEDNESDAY 10 DECEMBER 2025 at 5pm.
      Forms not submitted by this date will not be accepted and you will not be able to participate in DAW26. You must press SUBMIT to enter your registration.

  • VENUE CO-ORDINATOR CONTACT DETAILS

  • DAW will only send communications to the Venue Co-ordinator.

    If a solo venue this will be you. If more than one person, decide who will collect all the information for your venue and fill out the registration form. All DAW communications will ONLY be sent to the Venue Co-ordinator who will liaise with the rest of your group.

  • ARE YOU A DORSET VISUAL ARTS MEMBER?

    To qualify for 10% discount on your registration fee you must be a member. 

    To become a DVA member visit the website, dorsetvisualarts.org

    Please note - If there are two or more artists in your venue, at least half of you must be Dorset Visual Arts members to qualify for this discount.

  • VENUE DETAILS

  • This section will form the basis of your venue entry in the Dorset Art Weeks Guide and directory and map on the DAW website.

    Please proof read carefully before you submit your form. Check with fellow artists and/or your venue that all details are correct.

    Any additional amendments requested after the registration deadline (such as rewriting your statement, directions, changing images etc) will incur an administration fee of £25. You will receive a PDF proof of your venue entry to check prior to the Guide going to print. See Key Dates.

  • ARTISTS AT YOUR VENUE

    Please list the artists at your venue in line with your chosen option.
    i.e. Option 3,   x3 artists venue listing = x3 named artists. This is needed for the Guide index and website.

    REMEMBER: Only the venue name will be included in the index if there are more artist names than your Option choice.

    PLEASE NOTE: Names must be written: Surname, First Name. e.g. Frink, Elizabeth

  • VENUE STATEMENT

    Please provide your venue statement, describing what visitors can expect to see when visiting your venue. 

    Please refer to the DAW Registration Guidelines page 12 for help, and previous DAW Guides for examples of statements.

    Please do not exceed the word limit for your venue listing size.

    Option 1 or 2 = 20 words
    Option 3 = 40 words
    Option 4 = 60 words
    Option 5 = 80 words

  • IMAGES

  • Your image(s) must adhere to the following so they are suitable for use in the Guide as well as for other marketing purposes. 

     

    • Name image files FirstnameSurname.jpeg
    • Images must be at least 1MB in size, max 3MB, with resolution no less than 300dpi
    • Only JPEG format images will be accepted
    • Your images must be square format - this enables the best available use of space in the guide. We will need to crop your image if it is not square.
    • Montages of different/combined images will not be accepted
    • Images must be sharp, bold and clear

    We use this to help identify your venue on our website map as postcodes do not always pinpoint your exact location, especially if there are several studios in close proximity. We also list your what3words on your listing so visitors can use it to find your venue.

  • SOCIAL MEDIA

    Please provide the FULL address of the main/most active social media account you would like us to feature as part of your venue details.

    One per venue. Only Instagram or Facebook.

    We will use these when planning the marketing schedule for the event and to tag you in posts where possible. If you want more links, consider setting up a linktree.

  • PRINTED GUIDES - Extra copies.

    Your venue is given an amount of DAW printed Guides to distribute (approx. 25 per solo venue, up to 50 for a half page in the Guide. Venues over half page in Guide up to 75 copies.) These are for your own promotion to distribute to contacts and businesses in your local area - for example, B+Bs, hotels, pubs and cafes.

    DAW arranges Guides to be distributed to cultural venues such as galleries, museums, libraries and tourist information centres within and around the county.

    Will you require more than the allocated number of Guides for your venue?
    Please only request more if you know you will be able to distribute them in your area. We do not want waisted Guides.

  • PUBLIC LIABILITY INFORMATION

  • IMPORTANT It is your responsibility to ensure your venue space is safe and that you have Public Liability Insurance. DAW does not accept responsibility for this. If you are using commercial premises, separate insurance may not be necessary, but you should verify your specific circumstances.

  • TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Please check all information on this form THOROUGHLY before submission.

    You will NOT be able to edit your form once you submit.

    • Dorset Visual Arts (DVA) and Dorset Art Weeks (DAW) cannot be held responsible for any errors or omissions and reserve the right to request alternative images or improve clarity and to correct errors where necessary.
    • A PDF proof of your venue entry will be sent for your approval in early March.
    • By participating in the event, you give DAW permission to use submitted images for publicity purposes as appropriate and any other information submitted will be used to help promote your venue as part of the event.
    • Submission of this form is acceptance of these terms and conditions. You may be contacted directly by DVA/DAW as part of this process.
    • Dorset Visual Arts reserves the right to reject applications for entries to the guide. If the entry is rejected, the payment will be refunded in full.
