    • KEEPER OF THE FLAME AWARD - The NAACP Keeper of the Flame Award was estabilished in 1992, in honor of the late Benjamin Lawson Hooks, the fifth Executive Director of the NAACP. This award recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional service in advancing the objectives of the NAACP and the workforce environment in Cedar Rapids Metro area. 

    • GOOD TROUBLE ACTIVIST AWARD - John Lewis revolves around the themes of nonviolence, justice, and the importance of engaging in "good trouble" to create positive change. Recognize youth and adults in the Metro Cedar Rapids area for the work they do to improve the community, educate the masses, identify the problems, and lead toward positive changes to fix them. 

    • STANDING OVATION 'YES I CAN' BRANCH AWARD - (MEMBERS ONLY) - It's not just a membership; It is a movement! This is why the NAACP CR movement implies action and ongoing struggles to achieve its mission of political, educational, social, and economic equality of all people and elimination race-based discrimination. Recognize an individual who follows the 'Yes I Can' spirit embodied by Mrs. Viola Gibson and Robert L. Johnson in their positive contribution to the community.
