  • Food safety is essential for protecting customers and keeping businesses in compliance.

    Join us for a Food Handler’s Certification Course led by Carrie Vanderver, B.S. Family & Consumer Sciences, MPA, University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service county extension coordinator and family & consumer sciences agent. Vanderver delivers science and evidence-based programming to improve everyday lives on topics such as nutrition, chronic-disease prevention, financial-wellness, food safety, job-ready skills, healthy homes, and physical activity.

  • Carrie has hands-on experience with safe food handling practices as she began her career in club and restaurant service and management. Now much of her education is focused on food safety practices from safe home food preservation to youth concession stand food safety trainings to the delivery and successful certification of ServSafe Managers and Food Handlers throughout the Southeast district of Georgia. 

     

    This interactive course will cover proper food handling, preparation, and storage—providing the knowledge you need to keep food safe and customers healthy.
