The Kish Challenge 2025 has two formats: a race and a cruise. The race is similar to the Kish Race run in recent years, and is aimed at boats that normally race. The cruise is intended for boats that do not want to race, but would like to sail around the Kish Lighthouse in company with other boats.

This table is based on information from Irish Sailing, dated 3 September 2025. The ECHO Standard handicap for a Shipman 28 is 0.845, for a Beneteau 21 is 0.840 and for a Ruffian 23 is 0.835.

If your boat is not in the table, please provide as much detail as possible in the Boat Type/Model box above. If you cannot find the ECHO Standard handicap, please enter 0.000 in the box above, and we will try to assign a fair handicap.

Risk:
I accept that sailing is a potentially dangerous activity, and that I will be responsbible for the decision to sail in this event, and to continue sailing if conditions deteriorate.

I accept that participation of the above named boat in the DMYC Kish Challenge is at my sole and exclusive risk in every respect.

Liability:
I accept that Dun Laoghaire Motor Yacht Club (DMYC), its organising committee and volunteers, Leinster Boats, Dublin Port Company and Dun Laoghaire Harbour Company will not be responsible for damage to any boat or other property, nor for injury to any participant, including death, sustained as a result of participation or intended participation in this event.

I hereby release the DMYC, its organising committee and volunteers from any and all liability associated with participation in this event to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Insurance:
I confirm that I carry adequate valid insurance, of not less than €3,000,000, to cover my liability in connection with my participation in this event.

Media Rights:
Participants automatically grant to the DMYC and its sponsors, without payment, the right in perpetuity to make, use and show any pictures and video of or relating to the event.
