Participant Waiver and Event Terms
By registering for the Emory Valley Center Virtual 5K (“Event”), I acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Voluntary Participation and Assumption of Risk
I understand that this is a virtual event, and I will be completing the 5K at a time and location of my choosing. I assume full responsibility for my participation and for ensuring a safe environment. I knowingly and freely assume all risks associated with participation, including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, weather conditions, traffic, and road conditions.
2. Waiver and Release of Liability
In consideration for my participation, I hereby release and hold harmless Emory Valley Center, its officers, employees, agents, sponsors, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses that may arise from injury, illness, loss, or damage occurring as a result of my participation in this Event.
3. Medical Acknowledgment
I confirm that I am in good health and physically able to safely complete the Event. I understand that I am solely responsible for determining my physical condition and for obtaining any medical advice prior to participating.
4. Photo and Media Consent
I grant permission to Emory Valley Center to use any photographs, videos, or digital media I submit or that are taken in connection with this Event for promotional purposes, without compensation.
5. Privacy and Use of Information
I understand that my contact information will be used solely for Event-related communication and Emory Valley Center fundraising or outreach purposes, and will not be sold or shared outside of these purposes.
6. Refund and Cancellation Policy
I understand that registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Should the Event be postponed, canceled, or modified, my registration will remain valid for any rescheduled or adapted version.
