The fee of $1,100 includes: Professional instructions and all materials including board, paints, and brushes. Students are invited to join the monks for meals. This includes a continental breakfast each morning, dinner (the monks eat their main meal of the day at 12:15pm), and a light supper.

Accommodations are not included. Due to the small class size. the cost of hosting this workshop, and the distance the instructor(s) will be traveling, we must adhere to a strict cancellation policy. Your $300 non-refundable deposit must be received at the time of registration. You may pay the balance in full at any time otherwise a monthly payment plan will be established. (Reminders will be emailed.) Balance must be paid in full by March 30, 2026. All payments are non-refundable unless the workshop is canceled due to lack of participation.

Should circumstances require you to cancel, New Skete will make all reasonable attempts to fill the vacancy. If the vacancy is filled, New Skete will refund all but the $300 deposit.

Rooms are NOT included in the registration fee.

There are a limited number of rooms available at the monastery. 

A list of inns and motels will be emailed to you upon your registration.

The workshop is May 12 - 16, 2026

All participants must be in attendance for the workshop by 8:00 am Tuesday, May 12th.  Tardiness creates an interruption for the entire class.

The workshop ends at 4:30 pm on Saturday.  

We encourage you to reserve a sleeping room starting on Monday the 11th.  Meals are NOT available at the monastery on Mondays.

Students are invited to join the monks for meals, as their guest.

Tuesday - Saturday: a light continental breakfast will be available at Emmaus House.  (Coffee, tea, a variety of bread/pastries, cereals, hard boiled eggs, and fresh fruits.)

Tuesday - Saturday: lunch/dinner at the monks' monastery.  (The monks eat their main meal of the day at noon.

Tuesday - Saturday: light supper at the monks' monastery.

Sunday: (for guests staying over Saturday night) a light continental breakfast will be available at Emmaus House, and guests are welcome to join the monks, nuns, and chapel members for coffee hour after Divine Liturgy.

We try to accommodate any dietary restrictions you may have.  

There is a refrigerator at Emmaus House that you are welcome to use.  Please label your items and be aware that space may be limited.  A list of eateries and local markets is available by requests.  If you will not be joining the group and monks for any particular meal, please let us know as soon as you can.

There are a limited number of guestrooms available at the monastery.  After completing your registration and submitting your payment, you will be emailed a list of area accommodations, and two links to reserve a room at the monks', or the room at the nuns', if there is still availability.  

This is a first come first serve basis.

The guestroom at the nuns' is for women only.  The room has two twin beds, a private bath, and a guest living room with small balcony.  In reserving this guestroom, you will be asked to confirm that you are willing to share the room with another female attendee.
