Your donation helps to support your Million Dollar Marching Hawks by assisting to cover expenses including but not limited to: staff, guest clinicians/instructors, music for all ensembles, student T-Shirts, transportation, festival fees, awards, senior banquet fees, props for marching season, and operating costs for the band program for the entire year that are not covered by band dues, and for underprivledged students with financial hardships who may not otherwise be able to participate in Marching Band. This also helps us pay for travel, and expose students to new experiences like visiting college for band performances.
The goal for our program is to have all expenses covered and raise enough funds to begin the new year in the green. Please visit the band website (often) at www.hhsmarchinghawks.com to make donations or purchase from our fundraisers.
Ample fundraising opportunities will be provided for students and their families to offset the cost of special trips and events, but donations are very much appreciated and needed!
Fundraisers will be not be applied to individual students, but rather applied to the general band account as required by law, unless specified as a 'squad' (Band, Color Guard, Dance) fundraiser and may also be used in one of the following ways:
· To be used for future BAND-related expenses.
· To assist a needy student.
· For the general fund.
These funds roll over from year-to-year and stay in the squads account.
Nobody wants to penalize or exclude students who have financial hardships. Our donations and fundraisers are often used to assist those struggling due to the economic issues of today.
