Duty of Care Notice
The City of Canning aims to provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment.
- Our programs operate on a drop-in basis; young people (16 and over) may leave the premises during the programs run time.
- The City of Canning is not responsible for young people who choose to leave. It is of the parent/guardian’s responsibility once a young person leaves our program.
- Staff do not have authority to detain participants at the request of guardians.
- Transport to/from the venue is the responsibility of the parent/guardian and young person.
Privacy Policy
- Your contact details will be used solely to communicate relevant information regarding your participation in programs at Hillview Hub.
- Your information will be handled in accordance with the City of Canning’s Privacy Policy and will not be shared or used for unrelated purposes.
Liability
The City of Canning and its associated entities (including Hillview Hub) will not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from use of the facilities or participation in programs.
Facility Rules
When attending programs at Hillview Hub, all participants and guardians agree to:
- Follow all centre rules and staff instructions;
- Refrain from hazardous or inappropriate behaviour;
- Understand that failure to comply may result in being asked to leave the centre.
Supervision & Attendance
- Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian (18+) who remains at the centre for the program duration.
- Parents/guardians who drop of teens 16+ must drop off and collect children promptly.
- All participants must have up to date personal and guardian contact details.
- There is a zero tolerance policy for bullying, disruptive, or unsafe behaviour
