Informational Consult

This consult type is designed to provide pharmacology education and clinical insights about psilocybin, MDMA, ibogaine, ketamine and other prescription & over-the-counter (OTC) products. Get pharmacology education, general drug interaction (compatibility) checks, and general clinical insight related to plant medicines/psychedelics, medications and potential risks from a professional—not AI. No personalized intake required. Includes a written response and an optional 15-minute live review of the response(s). Being on camera is not required.

Note this consult type may help inform a case, but cannot be considered a case-specific assessment or recommendation. Further, this option is not intended for personalized drug interaction checks, which typically require some level of personal and contextual information to safely assess and answer. Soon after your submission, Dr. Speer may follow up with any needed clarifications to complete the review.

Within 2-3 business days, documentation of your completed consult will be shared to the email indicated above. However, this turnaround time may be delayed depending on your response time to any needed clarifications. The email will also contain a link to schedule an optional 15-minute appointment to go over the information together if you would like.

Communication Authorization

I understand that Dr. Kristin Speer, PharmD, BCPS (“Dr. Speer”) is a licensed pharmacist who provides educational, consultative services through her company, PharmD Consult, LLC, which operates as a cash-based business and does not bill insurance. Accordingly, this consultation service is not conducted under HIPAA-covered workflows, and Dr. Speer is not acting as a HIPAA-covered entity in this role. I understand that any personal, protected health information shared with Dr. Speer is done so voluntarily and outside of a HIPAA-covered setting.

While PharmD Consult, LLC is not legally bound by HIPAA in this consultative setting, Dr. Speer voluntarily follows many HIPAA-aligned best practices to help safeguard personal and health-related information. These measures include:

• Limiting the collection of unnecessary identifying information,
• Avoiding inclusion of sensitive information in the body of general emails or messages whenever possible,
• Using encrypted intake forms and password-protected forms and files,
• Using secure platforms.

Communication takes place through platforms that are selected to prioritize privacy, security, and ease of access. Consultation tools include:

• HIPAA-compliant Google Workspace account with a signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA) covering all Drive contents, email, virtual meetings (Google Meet) and other Google apps
• HIPAA-compliant digital notetaker to ensure accurate and efficient documentation of consultations,
• JotForm for secure, encrypted intakes and collection of sensitive information,
• Google Voice which is encrypted in transit only and used in a limited capacity for potential intake clarifications, consult coordination or other light-touch communication and may not be appropriate for transmitting sensitive health details.

Other platforms or tools may also be used as needed for similar purposes. You may request a current list of these platforms/tools at any time. By using these services, you agree to their terms.

I understand that while not all of these tools carry formal HIPAA certification, they are intentionally aligned with HIPAA requirements to enhance privacy. I give my consent to the use of these tools for coordinating, conducting and communicating consultations. I may request alternative communication methods at any time.

Messages are not monitored continuously; these channels are not appropriate for urgent or emergency concerns.

 

Consultation Disclaimers

I acknowledge that psilocybin and other psychedelic substances remain illegal under federal law.

I understand that the services provided by Dr. Kristin Speer and PharmD Consult, LLC are consultative in nature and are intended to support harm reduction, education, medication safety, and informed discussions.

I understand psychedelic science and legal frameworks are evolving rapidly; conclusions and safety considerations may change as new evidence emerges. Thus, I accept that the delivered information is “as is,” without warranties or guarantees as to accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or outcomes.

Dr. Speer is not acting as a prescriber or diagnosing provider and is not offering medical advice or treatment. Any changes to medications, supplements, or treatment plans should be made only under the direction and supervision of a licensed, prescribing provider. If I take any actions based on the consultation without such direction or supervision, it is at my own risk.

Participation in this consultation does not create a pharmacist-patient relationship with Dr. Kristin Speer or PharmD Consult, LLC. The services provided are educational and consultative in nature and do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or the establishment of a clinical care relationship.

Recommendations or insights provided are based on the accuracy and completeness of the information disclosed during the intake and consultation. Dr. Speer is not responsible for outcomes related to omitted, incomplete or inaccurate information.

PharmD Consult, LLC does not provide emergency services. If I am experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, I will contact 988 or 911 or my local emergency services immediately.

In states with regulated psychedelic frameworks (such as Oregon and Colorado), access is limited to individuals 21 years of age or older. I understand that PharmD Consult, LLC provides educational harm reduction services that are agnostic of age; but they are not intended as an endorsement of illegal activity or a substitute for medical care.

PharmD Consult, LLC does not offer psychedelic administration, facilitation, or any other direct service sessions, and does not supply or dispense substances. PharmD Consult does not recommend, endorse, encourage or promote psychedelic or natural medicine use where it is illegal. Information provided is for harm‑reduction and educational purposes only and is shared in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

 

Data Retention and Deletion Policy

Submitted forms and consultation records are retained for up to one year. The participant may request deletion of their records at any time by emailing info@psychedelicinteraction.com.

 

Limitation Of Liability and Indemnification

I agree not to hold Dr. Kristin Speer or PharmD Consult, LLC liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the consultation services.

I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless PharmD Consult, LLC and Dr. Speer from any claims, actions, or liabilities arising from participant or third-party use or interpretation of the consultation, including but not limited to other facilitators, providers, centers, or authorized representatives who may act on the consultation without appropriate oversight or medical supervision.

 

Jurisdiction

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado. Any disputes arising from this consultation shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Colorado.

 

Payment and Refund Policy

PharmD Consult, LLC operates as a cash‑based service and does not bill insurance. All payments are non‑refundable. No specific outcomes or results are guaranteed from the consultation.

 

Severability and Amendments

If any provision of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. PharmD Consult, LLC may update these terms from time to time by providing notice; continued use of services after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
