2025-26 Croatian Folklore Classes Registration Form

Hrvatski Vitezovi Folklore Ensemble
We are currently enrolling for the 2025-26 Croatian Folklore Classes for our Beginner, Intermediate, and Senior Groups.

PRACTICES AND START DATES
- Beginner and Intermediate Groups will practice Monday nights at 7:00PM
- Senior Group will practice Sunday nights at 7:00PM
Practices start Sunday September 28, 2025 and Monday September 29, 2025 respectively.

*There will be NO practices held on the following days:
- Sunday October 12, 2025 & Monday October 13, 2025 (Thanksgiving)
- December 14 - 29, 2025 (Christmas Break)
- Sunday February 15, 2026 & Monday February 16, 2026 (Family Day)
- March 15 - 23, 2026 (Spring Break)
- Sunday April 5, 2026 & Monday April 6, 2026 (Easter)
- Sunday May 17, 2026 & Monday May 18, 2026 (Victoria Day & Festival)
NOTE: Practices which immediately follow performance days are also typically cancelled subject to teacher discretion.

All practices are held at the:

Croatian Cultural Centre at 3250 Commercial Drive, Vancouver BC V5N 4E4

AGE GROUPS
- Beginner Group - Birth year 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016
- Intermediate Group - Birth year 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010
- Senior Group - Birth year 2009 and earlier
IMPORTANT: Ages of groups is subject to change as it is dependent on the number of registrants.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 21, 2025

PERFORMANCE DATES

The following is a list of confirmed performances for the 2025-26 season:
- Croatian History Day (TBD - weekend of April 10,2026)
- 2026 Western Canadian Croatian Folklore Festival (May 15-18, 2026)
  - Held in Winnipeg, Manitoba
  - Currently only the Senior Group is invited but we will communicate immediately if there is an opportunity for other groups to attend (TBD).
- Croatian Cultural Days (June 19-20, 2026)
IMPORTANT:

Other events may be added to the schedule throughout the year depending on invitation. For example, in the past, Hrvatski Vitezovi have been invited to perform and/or participate in the LA Extravaganza, Hats Off Day, Italian Days, Portguese Days, etc.
VOLUNTEERING

The United Croats of Canada, King Tomislav Branch and our Croatian Folklore Program: Hrvatski Vitezovi is a volunteer based organization. We rely heavily on the support of community volunteers to help the group throughout the year.

To ensure the continued success of our events and programs, we are asking for each family to contribute a minimum of 5 volunteer hours throughout the year.

These hours can be fulfilled in various ways, including:
- Assisting with set-up and clean-up before and after events
- Working during fundraising events (e.g., ticket sales, door management)
- Helping on performance days
- Supporting costume preparation and maintenance throughout the year
Your involvement is essential and greatly appreciated!

ANNUAL FUNDRAISING EVENTS
- Boxing Day Celebration (Friday December 26, 2025)
- Croatian History Day (TBD - weekend of April 10,2026)
- Croatian Cultural Days (June 19-20, 2026)
NOTE:

Other fundraising events may be added to the schedule throughout the year as opportunities arise; such as bottle drives, bake sales, Mother's Day luncheon, pub nights, etc.
