  • The BIG Plant Expo – Sponsorship Proposal

    Our Story

The journey of SERPM and The BIG Plant Expo began in Charleston, SC in late 2020. What started as a small neighborhood plant swap quickly blossomed into the South East Rare Plant Market (SERPM) — a growing community of plant enthusiasts, collectors, and small businesses.

Over the past five years, we’ve grown from one market to five markets in major cities across South and North Carolina, with even more markets being requested by businesses across the Southeast. SERPM is another marketing tool to get The BIG Plant Expo more exposure within the Carolina's.

Now, in Year 3 of The BIG Plant Expo, we’re returning to our Charleston roots — ready to deliver the largest themed plant event in the region.

    Mission & Goals

Our mission is to support plant hobbyists turned vendors, small businesses, and  plant sellers by providing:

A thriving marketplace to build clientele.
Access to national and international vendors to bring rare and uncommon plants to our region. Educational workshops for both vendors and the public, covering everything from social media marketing to in-person selling, sustainable sourcing, and plant care.

The goal is to create an inclusive, educational, and sustainable platform where vendors succeed in business and attendees leave inspired, informed, and more connected to their plant community.

For the second time, The BIG Plant Expo will feature a themed weekend experience. Our 2026 theme is “Enchanted Forest”, designed to create an immersive atmosphere where décor, workshops, and community activities tie into a magical, nature-inspired aesthetic.

    Attendees can expect:
