      • Entry cost: $50 per entry
      • Number of entries: You may enter up to three separate artworks
      • Mediums accepted: Any medium of artwork may be entered except those requiring visual display screens or other powered technologies. We do not have the facilities to exhibit these works.
      • Artists: It is open to all artists who reside in Australia
      • Date Completed: All artworks must have been completed after 1 January 2024
    • $50,000 in prizes 
      • There are 2 main prizes of $20,000 each.
        • The most outstanding 2D artwork of the Stanthorpe Art Prize 2026 will receive the 2D Stanthorpe Art Prize 2026 Award of $20,000.
        • The most outstanding 3D artwork of the Stanthorpe Art Prize 2026 will receive the 3D Stanthorpe Art Prize 2026 Award of $20,000.
      • Other awards include 
        • $5,000 People's Choice Award
        • $3,000 Local Artist Award (residing within 100 kilometres of Stanthorpe)
        • $2,000 The Ted and Daph Reeves Memorial Prize for Young Artists (aged between 12-18 as at 4 March 2026)
      • With the exception of the People's Choice award, winners will be announced on the opening night. The People's Choice will be announced after the exhibition closes.
    • Artificial Intelligence (AI)  
    • Works generated or originated using Artificial Intelligence will not be accepted.

    • Strict size and weight limitations - please check 
      • 2-dimensional artworks
        • The perimeter of a 2D artwork (including frame) must not exceed a total of 400cm (4 metres)
        • How to work out a perimeter: A perimeter equals 2 x (H + W). Online perimeter calculator
        • Examples of framed artworks with 4 metre perimeters include an artwork with a 100cm x 100cm frame, or an artwork with a 50cm x 150cm frame
        • Diptychs and triptychs must either be entered as a single artwork and comply with these rules, or entered as separate artworks
        • Maximum weight allowed is 15kg
        • Works on paper or canvas must be sent framed and fitted with D-rings, placed 100 mm from the top of the artwork's frame, ready for hanging. Artworks not correctly fitted will not be exhibited
        • A stretched canvas is considered framed
        • No refund will be given for entries that are found to be oversize once delivered — it is the artist's responsibility to ensure their artworks meet entry conditions
      • 3-dimensional artworks
        • Three-dimensional artwork must not exceed 15 kg
        • The piece should not exceed 50 cm in any dimension OR 
        • Maximum volume of 125000 cm3 (0.125m3). Volume = L x W x H. 
        • Please use this volume calculator if you are not sure if your artwork fits these requirements
        • No refund will be given for artworks that are found to be oversize once delivered — it is the artist's responsibility to ensure their artwork meets entry conditions
    • Images Required 
    • The selection of finalists is based on the images you supply. It is extremely important that you supply the best images you can. We also use these images in the catalogue and on our website and social media.

      So that your artwork is shown at its best please provide high quality, high-resolution images, shot in good light, so that the judges can see it properly. If the images are not clear your entry will be rejected.

      • 2D artwork: upload two images per artwork
        • one image of the entire artwork, showing the full artwork
        • one detail - show a smaller section of the artwork in detail so your technique is demonstrated
      • 3D artwork: upload three images per artwork
        • one from the front
        • one from the side or back
        • one detail - show a smaller section of the artwork in detail so your technique is demonstrated
    • How the selection process works 
      • Complete the form below to send images of your artwork, your details and entry fee. 
      • These images will be examined by the judges who will select artworks for exhibition in the Art Prize.
      • Finalists will be notified and given delivery information and timelines. You will also be notified if you have not been selected as a finalist.
      • The judges will confer on all artworks exhibited and select the winners. Prize winners will be announced on 12 June 2026 at the opening night.

    • YOUR ENTRY IS TOO LARGE. You cannot enter this artwork in the 2026 Stanthorpe Art Prize. 

      • 2D ARTWORKS - The perimeter of a 2D artwork (including frame) must not exceed a total of 400cm (4 metres).
      • 3D ARTWORKS - The piece should not exceed 50 cm in any dimension OR maximum volume of 125000 cm3 (0.125m3).

      If you are entering a 2D artwork do not put a Depth amount in, we only need Depth for 3D artworks to help calculate their volume.

      • 3D artwork: you MUST supply THREE images (from two different angles, and one detail/close up)

    • Award Nominations & Artist Statement 
    • If you are selected for the exhibition, your artist statement will be included in the catalogue next to an image of your artwork and with your statement about that artwork.

    • Please check which of the following additional awards you would like to be considered for.

      • The Ted and Daph Reeves Memorial Prize for Young Artists: Young people aged between 12-18 as at 4 March 2026 are eligible
      • Local Artist: Residing within 100 kilometres of Stanthorpe
