2026 Ephraim Bee Festival
Youth Pageant Rules
1. Applications are due by Sept. 1, 2026, Pageant is Sept. 26, 2026, 10:00 am.
2. Age 9-12 for Preteen, or 5-8 for Little Miss as of Sept. 26, 2026, and a resident of Doddridge, Ritchie, Tyler, Harrison, Lewis, Gilmer or Wetzel Counties.
3. Contestants will demonstrate good sportsmanship, be responsible for their possessions, and respect the belongings of others.
4. Contestants will be judged on their presentation in their Outfit of Choice (must contain yellow: can be in accessories or the outfit itself), Formal Wear, and the onstage interview.
5. Festival and pageant staff will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.
6. Dressing Room Rules
- a. No food or drink except water
- b. Backstage helpers will be strictly limited
7. Winners receive a crown, sash and gift basket.
8. Winners will attend the Ephraim Bee Festival the rest of the day
9. Winners are expected to promote the Ephraim Bee Festival. This can be as visiting royalty at pageants, events and parades. Every effort should be made to attend the parades at Doddridge Homecoming, Salem Apple Butter, West Union Veterans Day, and Christmas in Doddridge Celebration.
10. Winners are expected to represent themselves, the festival and the Chamber of Commerce in a positive manner when in public.
11. Decisions of the director are final.
12. Application fee is $40 for each contestant due with application.
