  • Calling all future architects and designers between the ages of 11-15 interested...the time for Project Pipeline 2026 is here!

    Our professional architects and designers will be teaching basic drawing, modeling, and design-thinking in a fun and immersive environment. Students will be asked to create a design projects using paper modeling, drawing and other design mediums. Camp is $60 and will convene in person Saturday July 25th, August 1st, August 8th, and August 15th! 

     

    Project Pipeline is a signature program of the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA). Our mission is to empower young people to affect change in their community through design. Using the city as a classroom and connecting young people to real world architects and planners, we foster the next generation of design professionals, civic leaders, and changemakers. We advocate for increased diversity, fellowship, equity and excellence in design. 

     

    The camp will be located at Temple University at the Tyler School of Art and Architecture. Camp will be from 9am-3pm with lunch provided!

  • Parental Consent and Certification

  • I hereby give my consent for my student to participate in the PhilaNOMA camp workshop events and activities. I hereby grant PhilaNOMA the right to create and distribute photographs, video and other documentation of my child and/or their artwork. I authorize this organization to use this documentation in future promotions of their annual programming for the purposes of advertising, fundraising or general publications. I understand that my students’ personal information will never be disclosed in such publications. I also acknowledge the intent of the posting of images enables parents and those in the design community to see the workshop and projects that were created by the students, which will also document the experience for the attendees and for future campers. 

    PhilaNOMA will use software, tools and applications provided by third parties that members, parents/guardians and/or volunteers will access via the Internet and use for purposes of communication and programming. Please be aware that each third-party application collects different information about its users and has its own privacy terms and conditions to which members must adhere. PhilaNOMA has no control nor do we assume the responsibility of the information any third-party service collects. If your child requires an account registration for any third-party service you will be notified prior to the any account registration. Please review the 'terms and conditions' of third party sites carefully before registering your child. Our commitment to keeping the children we serve safe is always our number one priority.


    All camp activities must also comply with the Rules of Conduct guidelines below:

    • Treat your group leader and group mates with respect at all times.
    • Zero tolerance for profanity, bullying or any form of insolence.

    I, as parent or guardian of the above named student, assume the risk, indemnify, and release PhilaNOMA & NOMA (national) from any and all liability for personal injury and property damage arising out of participation in the camp, or from posting images on the PhilaNOMA or NOMA (national) websites. I have read and understand the 'Rules of Conduct' online with my student and he/she agrees to uphold them to maintain a safe and enjoyable camp experience for everyone. As guardian, I certify all of the information provided in this application is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge.

  • Refund Policy

    The final day to withdraw your student from Project Pipeline Summer Camp and receive a full refund is Friday, July 17, 2026. Withdrawal requests submitted after this date may not be eligible for a full refund. If a refund is granted after this deadline, the cost of materials purchased for the student will be deducted from the refund amount.

    Student Abscence

    If your student will be unable to attend a specific day of camp, please notify a camp director no later than end of day Friday prior to start of that day of camp of the absence so that we can plan activities and supervision accordingly. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and well-organized camp experience for all participants.

    We strongly recommend that students DO NOT miss more than one (1) day of Project Pipeline Summer Camp. This ensures that each participant can fully engage with the curriculum, grasp the concepts being taught, and have sufficient time to complete their project within the allotted program schedule.

  • Will I have to provide breakfast and lunch?
    Students should have breakfast before attending camp, but we will provide lunch. Your student is also free to bring their own breakfast and lunch! 

    Where is the camp located?
    The camp is located at Temple University at the Tyler School of Art and Architecture. The address is 2001 North 13th Street, Philadelphia PA 19122. We will be using the 13th Street entrance.

    Does my student need to attend all (4) days?
    Though the camp is cumulative across all 4 days, even if they miss a day, we are dedicated to making sure your student knows the design principles needed to catch up with their peers!

    Is financial assistance available for camp?
    We have sponsors assisting financially from around the community eager to ensure your student is exposed to architectural design, no matter what. If you are in need of finnancial assistance, please click "Request for Scholarship" on the payment page.
