  • E. Description of services

    The Building Surveyor will perform all work necessary to comply with relevant statutory requirements, including:

    • inspecting the swimming pool/spa barrier
    • assessing whether the swimming pool/spa barrier complies with the requirements for the issue of a certificate of compliance under Part 9A of the Building Regulations 2018
    • issuing a certificate of pool and spa barrier compliance to the Client if the swimming pool/spa barrier complies
    • issuing the following if the swimming pool/spa barrier is non-compliant: 1) written notice under clause 147ZG detailing matters in respect of the non-compliance to be rectified or 2) a certificate of non-compliance in accordance with 147ZG & 147ZH
    • providing a copy of the above notices to the owner as soon as practical after the inspection
    • if necessary, re-inspecting the swimming pool/spa, and issuing certificates and/or written notices, as appropriate.
