Truth and Reconciliation Day Orange Shirt Order Form
WHY BUY: September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a day that coincides with Orange Shirt Day. This day honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. By wearing an orange shirt on September 30th, you commit to the enduring truth that EVERY CHILD MATTERS, every day and everywhere. DONATIONS: The artwork on this shirt is by Aliyah Bautista, a Grade 11 student from Ponoka, Alberta. The producers donate all net proceeds (50% of the sales) from these shirts to Indigenous communities and organizations through their #CraftChange Program. HUCSC is donating additional proceeds to the Woodland Cultural Centre. The Woodland Cultural Centre serves to preserve and promote Indigenous history, art, language, and culture. Your donation supports programming that benefits Indigenous communities, fostering cultural understanding, healing, and education. Each shirt is priced at $25.
