Parade Entry Rules
Thank you for being a part of our community celebration! To ensure a safe and successful parade experience for everyone, please carefully review and follow the rules below:
General Rules & Safety Guidelines
• Please note
All parade participants must have a decorated float to take part in the parade
• No Throwing Items
For the safety of all participants and spectators, throwing candy or other items from floats or vehicles is strictly prohibited.
• Vehicle Limitations
Each entry is limited to a maximum of two vehicles. This includes cars, trucks, tractors, lawn mowers, ATVs, motorcycles, etc.
• No Stopping on the Parade Route
Once your entry joins the line of march, you must continue moving. If your vehicle has mechanical issues, pull safely off the route and request assistance.
Maintain a safe and consistent distance between entries.
Walkers must be able to keep pace with your float.
• Entry Form Requirement
All entries must have a signed entry form on file with the Laurel Chamber of Commerce before the parade date.
• Floats will only be judged if your assigned number is clearly displayed.
Size & Driver Requirements
• Float Dimensions
Entries must not exceed 50 feet in length and 14 feet in height.
• Licensed Drivers Only
All motorized vehicles must be driven by individuals holding a valid driver's license.
No underage drivers are permitted.
This includes ATVs, golf carts, tractors, and similar vehicles.
Conduct & Behavior
• Respectful Participation Required
Unruly, reckless, or dangerous behavior will not be tolerated. Any action that poses a safety risk will result in immediate removal from the parade.
All vehicle wheels must remain on the ground – no wheelies, burn outs or stunts allowed.
Important Notice
🚫 Violators of any parade rules will be removed from the lineup and will NOT be permitted to participate the following year.
