    • Our most popular camps fill up fast, enroll early! If a class is full, click here to be added to the waitlist.
    • Camp is closed on July 3, 2026, in observance of the holiday.

Throughout the week, campers enjoy camp activities that stretch their skills even further, like music, art, and singing!

      Humans have been adorning themselves ever since the Paleolithic era, over 100,000 years ago. The word jewelry is rooted in the Latin word ‘jacole’, meaning plaything or delight, and more commonly refers to decorative items for personal adornment. In this course, students will embark on a journey through history to discover the long-lasting impact of these commonplace objects, while also exercising their own artistic eye to transform familiar objects into joyful embellishments that are accessible, affordable, and downright adorable. They’ll never look at erasers, buttons, wire, figurines, or clay the same way again!

      Science Sleuths: 1st - 3rd Grade

      Campers - put on your detective hat! During this week, science is all about solving mysteries. In Science Sleuths, campers will investigate puzzling questions using hands-on biology and chemistry experiments that focus on observing changes, testing materials, and collecting evidence. Along the way, campers will practice making predictions, recording observations, and explaining their conclusions. Campers will drive and code Sphero Mini robots as they take on a whole lineup of fun, fast-paced challenges - racing through obstacle courses, playing robot tag, and testing their skills in creative missions that bring coding to life. From remote control basics to building real programming confidence, students will learn core robotics fundamentals while having a blast with Sphero’s interactive features and apps.       Magic of Mask Making: 1st - 3rd Grade

      In this course, students will examine the multifaceted impact masks have had across cultures and continents by experimenting with creations of their very own!       The World Cup is here in the US! In this fast-paced session, our soccer coaches will help your young athlete gain the technical skills and sports knowledge required for their next step in soccer while building the lifelong skills of teamwork and sportsmanship. Designed for players ages 6-9, this session emphasizes the rules and etiquette of the game through creative and constant participation, as well as skill development in dribbling, passing, shooting, and ball control. No experience is necessary, but a positive attitude and infectious energy is recommended! Each session ends with a World Cup competition where campers can showcase their skills in a program-wide tournament.

      As we approach the nation’s 250th anniversary, known as the Semiquincentennial, join us for a festive and engaging week celebrating America’s birthday and learning about life during the Revolutionary War era.  This hands-on summer course invites children to explore early American history through play, creativity, and discovery - combining history, movement, and imagination to help children develop a meaningful understanding of America’s beginnings while celebrating the birth of our great nation. Throughout the week, students will experience colonial-era games and outdoor activities enjoyed by children in the 1700s, learn about key Revolutionary War figures, symbols, and events through stories, role-play, and discussion, create and interact with a timeline of important moments leading up to and following American independence, and try hands-on projects such as quill writing, flag studies, and colonial crafts.

      Is your child curious about what goes on behind the scenes in the kitchen at a restaurant? Wants to learn the fundamentals of cooking in the kitchen with a real chef? Chef Cababa, a renowned chef and father here at MMS, will put his skills to work teaching our campers creativity and independence while helping them become confident chefs! Some of the amazing foods they will be making are scratch pizza dough, homemade pasta, sushi rolls, and even hand pies! Come join us for this amazing cooking program where campers will progress through recipes that build their knowledge and abilities in cooking, all while tasting along the way! 

      Ceramic Wall Clock Workshop: 1st - 4th Grade

      Design it, build it, fire it, and tell time with it! In this fun and creative summer workshop, students will design and hand-build their own ceramic wall-hanging clock. After exploring examples of functional clay art, students will sketch ideas for a personalized analog clock face, choosing from whimsical numbers, clean modern typography, or imaginative pictorial symbols to mark the hours.  Students will learn essential hand-building techniques to construct a sturdy, beautifully shaped clock base before adding carved details, sculptural elements, or texture. Once fired, they will bring their designs to life with vibrant glazes. In the final step, a real working timepiece will be installed, transforming their artwork into a functional clock ready to display at home.

      Wipeout!: 1st - 4th Grade

      Join us for a wild week as “contestants” go head-to-head through exciting rounds of demanding and hilarious obstacle courses to win the title of “Wipeout Champion.”  If your camper loves being athletic, falling into shallow pools of water, crawling through tubes, jumping over hurdles, balancing, swinging, and running as fast as lightning, then this workout/wipeout class has their name on it! Great for kids of all abilities!

      Mathletics Boot Camp: 1st - 3rd Grade

      Mathletics Boot Camp is a hands-on, exciting experience where students dive into math through games, puzzles, and real-world challenges.       Is your child an aspiring game designer? In this course, students will be introduced to the fundamental skills of game development and design through the most popular video game in the world: Minecraft! Students will design their own adventures by creating beautiful, interactive environments using custom resource packs, learn to program non-player characters within their games to guide other gamers along their journey, and then test each other’s games to experience the iterative design process firsthand.

      Innovative Instruments: 1st - 3rd Grade

      Over the week, students will learn to make instruments from recycled everyday materials found in their very own homes, such as cardboard cereal boxes, buttons, and loose coins. Although simple, with a little imagination and elbow grease, these materials can create the popular flamenco dance accompaniment, Spanish castanets, or even the Peruvian pan flute! 

      Campers will also test their instruments by learning to play single notes, and even have a chance to create compositions that challenge and humor with the seemingly simple yet surprisingly complex art of playing this indigenous instrument. Maracas, rasps, and metal drums will be added to the band as students study the origin, cultural impact and ever-evolving versions along the way that brings music to our ears!

      Safesitter Babysitting Certificate: 5th - 8th Grade

      Safe Sitter® is designed to prepare students in grades 5-8 to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting younger children. Participants will learn how to prevent unsafe situations and what to do in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as a power failure or weather emergency. Students will learn the basic child development stages, techniques for behavior management, and how to change a diaper. Participants will also learn a system for assessing injury or illness, along with when to call 911 and apply basic first aid.       AM Summer Social is designed to give children an engaging camp experience through a variety of stimulating activities and experiences. Each day campers participate in an array of activities that both motivate and excite the children. Campers will have a chance to play, meet new friends, and discover new talents. Qualified adults with a variety of skills and special interests teach daily activities centered around weekly themes, including yoga and mindfulness, dance, creative arts, and team building.

Across two nonconsecutive weeks, students of all experience levels will learn to build, fly, and troubleshoot real FPV drones while exploring the STEM concepts behind how they work. Campers will learn drone assembly, safe flight skills, and basic repairs, with opportunities for advanced builds, tuning, and racing techniques. Using flight simulators and industry-standard software, students will practice like real drone pilots in a fun, controlled environment. Perfect for current team members and curious newcomers alike - spots are limited, so save your seat!

      Color Guard in Motion: 4th - 8th Grade

      Discover the excitement of color guard this summer! In this engaging class, students will learn the fundamentals of spinning, tossing, catching, and performing with swing and 6-foot flags, building coordination, confidence, and teamwork along the way. No experience is necessary - everyone is welcome to join and explore this expressive, athletic art form. The session will conclude with a fun, high-energy performance to showcase what students have learned!

      Safesitter Babysitting Certificate: 5th - 8th Grade

      Price: $245 | EB $235

      Safe Sitter® is designed to prepare students in grades 5-8 to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting younger children. Participants will learn how to prevent unsafe situations and what to do in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as a power failure or weather emergency. Students will learn the basic child development stages, techniques for behavior management, and how to change a diaper. Participants will also learn a system for assessing injury or illness, along with when to call 911 and apply basic first aid. Finally, students will learn basic business skills such as writing a resume, screening potential employers or jobs, greeting or being interviewed by employers, and discussing fees. *Please note children must be 11 years old to receive a certificate.

      Volleyball Clinic: 4th - 8th Grade

      Volleyball Clinic is excited to be back offering summer camps for all skill levels— beginner, intermediate, and advanced players are all welcome! Led by our experienced coaching staff, participants will receive specialized training in volleyball fundamentals, including serving, passing, setting, and hitting, as well as tactics and team play. Whether your child is just starting out or looking to elevate their game, our week-long camp provides the perfect environment to develop skills, improve coordination, and build confidence on the court.

In this hands-on class, students will investigate mock crime scenes by identifying, collecting, and preserving evidence using authentic forensic methods such as examining fingerprints, DNA, hair fibers, photographs, and trace evidence. They will learn how investigators determine which clues are meaningful and which are red herrings. Through careful observation, analysis, and logical reasoning, students will work to reconstruct what happened at a crime scene and identify potential suspects. Perfect for curious students who enjoy science, the challenge of investigation, and real-world problem solving.

  • Lunch:

    Your child will need to bring a cold lunch and milk, or water, each day. Milwaukee Montessori School has a low-sugar and low-salt policy. Leave sweets, chips, juice, and soda at home. No nut products of any kind are allowed below the 1st grade.

    Consent/Permission

  • 1. I have read over the 2026 Summer Handbook and the Milwaukee Montessori 5 School Rules. I agree to follow these policies and procedures and implement them with my student.
  • 2. The student named above has my permission to participate in Milwaukee Montessori School activities and join all field trips during Summer Program 2026. I understand that MMS is taking all responsible precautions to ensure the health and safety of my child. I give my consent for emergency medical treatment to be used if I cannot be reached immediately. Children present in camp will be assumed to be fit and able to participate in all regular summer activities, including outside play. 
  • 3. Apply sunscreen to my child as needed. MMS will supply SPF 30+ water resistant sunscreen.
  • Enrollment:

    • Classes fill on a first-come, first-served basis.
    • When a class is full, we encourage you to put your child's name on the 2026 Summer Camp Waitlist.

    Payment:

    • $100 Deposit - A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to secure a spot in the program. The deposit will be applied to the total cost of the program. 
    • Fees must be paid by the due date to ensure enrollment. As classes fill, student seats that are unpaid by the due date will be given to the next student.
      • All June 15 - July 2 programs must be paid in full by May 5, 2026.
      • All July 6 - 31 programs must be paid in full by June 5, 2026.
    • Please make all checks payable to Milwaukee Montessori School
    • Checks returned for insufficient funds will incur a $50 penalty. In case of financial difficulty, please contact Debbie, the Finance and Operations Director, at dmather@milwaukee-montessori.org to arrange a payment plan well before the due date.

    Add/Drops/Refunds:

    • Click here to add/drop a Summer Camp class after you have registered.
    • If classes are dropped at least 6 weeks prior to the class start date, the $100 deposit will be forfeited, and the remainder of the class registration fees paid will be credited in full. (For example, a class beginning on 6/15/26 must be dropped by 5/4/26.) 
    • Dropped Classes and Cancellations Between Six and Two Weeks Before Start Date: If classes are dropped between six and two weeks before the class start date, the $100 deposit will be forfeited, and 50% of the remaining class fees paid will be credited. 
    • No Refunds Within 2 Weeks of Class Start Date: There will be no refunds for dropped classes, canceled registrations, or class changes made within two weeks of the class start date. 

    Late Pickup:

    • Parents will be assessed a $25 late fee in addition to the program fee starting one minute after the scheduled pick-up times. After 6 PM, there is an additional occasional care fee, on top of the late fee, of $20 per hour billed to the half-hour.
