Happy Birthday, America!: 1st - 4th Grade
Price: $221 | EB $211
As we approach the nation’s 250th anniversary, known as the Semiquincentennial, join us for a festive and engaging week celebrating America’s birthday and learning about life during the Revolutionary War era. This hands-on summer course invites children to explore early American history through play, creativity, and discovery - combining history, movement, and imagination to help children develop a meaningful understanding of America’s beginnings while celebrating the birth of our great nation. Throughout the week, students will experience colonial-era games and outdoor activities enjoyed by children in the 1700s, learn about key Revolutionary War figures, symbols, and events through stories, role-play, and discussion, create and interact with a timeline of important moments leading up to and following American independence, and try hands-on projects such as quill writing, flag studies, and colonial crafts.
