Co-Worker+ Membership Signup

At Lehrhaus our goal is to create a warm, welcoming, smart, and Jewish space that brings people together.

Co-Learning Space: 

Our co-working hours are 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM Monday through Thursday, and 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM Fridays. During this time you are invited to utilize Lehrhaus as a co-working space. Our hope is to create a space that encourages productivity, connection, and warmth. A few notes about our co-working space:

• You are more than welcome to stay past 3:00 M-TH, we just ask that by 3:00 PM members wrap up their work at a table and move over to the lounge so that the tavern team can get set up for dinner service.
• Coffee, tea, and snack service ends at 3:00 PM. Water is always available via the host after 3:00 PM. 
• Our outer door locks at 3:00 PM, so we ask that members enter before 3:00 PM, otherwise our door unlocks again at 4:30 PM. Please let a staff member know if you see someone at the door needing to be let in and only open the door for people you know.
• Upcoming closures and other regular updates are available on the member homepage. We are closed for co-working most bank holidays and any Jewish holiday where work is not permitted.
• In general, we ask that members be cognizant that our tavern team (typically behind the bar or in the kitchen) are onsite around 2:00 PM and working hard to be ready for dinner service. If you need anything, please ask the Day Host on duty!

Kashrut/Kosher Policy for Food & Drink:

Lehrhaus is a Kosher certified restaurant. Because of this,  outside food and beverages are not allowed in our space, including the front vestibule and backyard. 

• We have beverages and light snacks available during co-working hours. Some days we also have food for purchase. 
• You may bring in water, unflavored seltzer, or whole fruit with skin (like an apple or banana). 
• Even if an item comes from a kosher kitchen, or has a hechsher, unless it has been supervised by our kosher supervisor onsite, it is not permitted in the space. 
• If you have any questions about what is or is not allowed, or if this causes an issue, please ask! 

Technology:

You are welcome to use your laptop or other device. Please note that all spaces are communal, so there are no spaces to take a private call, including the study. We ask that you are mindful of your volume and use headphones. Outlets are limited but we have powerstrips and extension cords available. 

Library and Borrowing:

While you are in the space, you are more than welcome to browse our library and take any book off the shelves. Please try and return them where you found them. If you are not sure where a book goes, just ask and we are happy to help, or place them in the return basket. 

A portion of our library is available for short-term borrowing. If you would like to borrow a book, we ask that you first fill out our Lending Agreement. Afterward, just ask the day host for assistance checking a book out or back in.

Class Discount Code Benefit:

As a member, you get a discount code that provides you with two complimentary tickets each month to our classes and learning programs. You should receive a personalized discount code via email within a few days of signing up for membership. 

• These are set per calendar year and reset on January 1. 
• When signing up for class, please use the $10 option.
• Your discount code can be used for you and a guest, or for you individually. 
• The codes are set up with 2 tickets per month remaining in the year (i.e. if you sign up in June, you will have 14 total uses of your discount code). You are welcome to use these at your discretion throughout the year. The general rule of thumb is 2 uses per month.  
• There are some classes that are not eligible for fully complimentary tickets. These are typically classes with a food or drink component. You are welcome to use your discount code for $10 off a more expensive ticket. If a class does not have a $10 option, it means it is not eligible for a fully complimentary ticket. 

Guest Policy:

Members are welcome to bring 1-2 guests for a limited time meeting (maximum 2 hours) without paying the day pass fee. 

• Each guest is eligible for no more than 2 guest passes per month.
• If you would like to host a meeting with more than 2 people, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance by emailing learning@lehr.haus.
• If your guest(s) plans to stay longer than 2 hours, they need to purchase a day pass for $15. 
• Any guest of a member is required to sign in with the host upon arrival.

Additional Terms

1. Each member will receive a fob that gives them access Monday through Thursday,  9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, and Friday 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM, when the main door is locked. If a fob is lost or stolen, the member is responsible for the $15 cost of a replacement. When membership expires or is terminated, the fob needs to be returned to Lehrhaus or the member will be charged for a replacement. 
2. As Lehrhaus is a Jewish tavern in the evening, during the day we have team members who will be cleaning the space and preparing for evening service.  They will work around members and be courteous of daytime activity. We ask all members to be courteous in return and respectful of these tasks.
3. Not all spaces will be available at all times. Our study space may be reserved by staff for a private meeting or event during the day. While the Lehrhaus team will try to give advance notice to any members, there may be times when this is not possible. 
4. Do not enter areas marked as “Staff Only.” This includes going behind the bar or into the kitchen. If you need help with something, please ask a staff member. 
5. Members are welcome to eat anywhere during the day. We kindly ask everyone to be mindful of any mess they make, take responsibility for their trash, and place used dishes in the dish bucket. If you need assistance with cleanup, please don’t hesitate to ask.
6. Members cannot move furniture, fixtures or decorative materials without direct consent from staff on site.  
7. Lehrhaus is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged personal property while the member is onsite.
8. We expect all members to maintain a respectful and supportive environment. Any form of harassment or disruptive behavior, verbal or physical, is strictly prohibited. Violation of this policy will result in immediate removal from the premises and termination of membership. We strive to foster a safe and positive community environment.
9. Lehrhaus holds the right to revoke membership at any time for any reason without notice.

Notes about membership fees:

• If you signed up for a monthly subscription, you will be billed the same day each month (i.e. if you sign up on the 5th, you will be charged on the 5th of each month. 
• You can cancel your membership at any time via stripe (you will receive an email confirmation) or by emailing us at learning@lehr.haus.
  If you signed up for an annual membership, your membership will renew each year on the same date.
• If you signed up for a recurring membership, either monthly or annual, you will receive an email from stripe 5-7 days before the next payment will be processed. 
• If you were gifted a membership, unless otherwise stated, your membership has a set end date.
