  • Our school is aware that we must abide by all rules and rulings of AACS regarding AACS National Competition.

We understand that only senior high students (grades 9–12) who have won or placed in an AACS certified state or regional competition may participate in the National Competition. However, this requirement will be waived for the following exceptions: students in grades 7 and 8 may compete in Orchestra/Band and Handbell/Handchime Choir.

Furthermore, we understand that the same entry (i.e., music composition, speech manuscript, art entry, sermon, or Bible teaching lesson) which placed at the state level must be entered in National Competition. See the AACS National Competition Manual (2025 Edition) for more information.

By participating in this event, you are granting permission for AACS to use photographs or videos of your participation in any future publication, including the AACS website, without compensation.

  • General Housing Information

Contestants may stay in residence halls or in local hotels. (Due to the limited number of beds, contestants living within 50 miles of Greenville may not stay in residence halls; 7th and 8th grade students may not stay in residence halls.) A list of recommended hotels is available on the BJU website.

Residence hall housing will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. You will receive confirmation from BJU personnel regarding your housing reservations via email within two business days of completing your submission.

Anyone staying in the Greenville area (local residents, hotel, or on-campus) is required to attend both chapel and the evening service every day. Anyone over 50 miles who drives instead of staying in Greenville must attend one service each day: either chapel (11:00 a.m.) or the evening service (7:00 p.m.). One sponsor from each school is required to attend the Tuesday 8:30 p.m. sponsor meeting.

On-Campus Residence Hall Housing for Students and Sponsors

List each student who will be representing your school at AACS National Competition. List only students who will be staying in residence halls.
If an art project or academic test is competing but the student is not attending or if the student is staying at a hotel, do not list the student on this form.

Note: Because of the number of participants, specific room requests cannot be accommodated with the exception of participants who have a sibling attending Bob Jones University. All sibling room requests must be made on this form submission. Please do not call BJU to make a room request.

Male and female sponsors must be provided to stay in the residence hall with their group. Schools are required to provide one sponsor to stay in a residence hall for each group of 25 students in the residence hall. For example:

    • 1–25 boys = 1 male sponsor | 26–50 boys = 2 male sponsors | etc.
    • 1–25 girls = 1 female sponsor | 26-50 girls = 2 female sponsors | etc.
    • If the sponsor(s) has not yet been selected, register the sponsor online now as “female (or male) sponsor TBD” so that a place is held for the sponsor. The school must notify AACS of the name of the sponsor by March 31, 2026.

Due to limited space in the residence halls additional sponsors above the required number must make off-campus housing arrangements.

Room and board fees are payable to BJU upon arrival on April 14, 2026. The fees are:

    • $130 per person (students and sponsors) for meals and lodging. This includes Tuesday supper through Friday breakfast.
    • Early arrivals may stay on campus Monday night at an additional cost of $50 per person (includes Tuesday breakfast and lunch).
    • Early arrivals (before Tuesday, April 14) must contact the BJU Welcome Center at (864) 241-1624, no later than March 31.

Off-Campus Students and Sponsors Meal Pass Reservations

List all students and sponsors who are coming to the competition but are not staying in the residence halls. Do not list art/testing/composition competitors who are not coming to the event. If the art or academic competitor is not coming to BJU, don’t list him below.

    • Off-Campus Participant and Sponsor Meal Pass—$90 (includes Tuesday supper through Friday breakfast)
    • Meal pass must be reserved during this online registration process. The name of the individual using each pass is required.
