• July 1 Parade Registration

    The syíyaya Reconciliation Committee, District of Sechelt, shíshálh Nation, and Sechelt Downtown Business Association invite you to join us for July 1st parade on July 1st at 10:30am The suggested theme for this year’s parade is "SHOW US YOUR SPIRIT" We encourage you to bring the FIFA World Cup energetic vibes to this year’s parade! Fly your national or team flag, dress in bright colours, and turn up the fun with live or canned music.

  • Parade Registration:

    Please fill out the following information as completely as possible. Parade positions are physically spaced out according to the size options you select, so if in doubt about the length of your float, please add 10 feet to your entry.

  • Safety Note – VERY IMPORTANT – For safety reasons, GIVEAWAYS OF ANY KIND CANNOT (candy, collateral) BE THROWN FROM MOVING VEHICLES OR BY PARADE PARTICIPANTS, it may be given out by hand only.

    There MUST be at least 2 people walking alongside large vehicles for safety. 

    There will be a SAFETY BRIEF the day of the parade by RCMP. RCMP will be doing the safety briefing at the corner of Ocean and Dolphin 30 minutes before Parade leaves.

    Parade registrants will be contacted closer to JULY 1st in regards to your assigned spot in the parade. If you have any questions in regards to parade assembly please contact Alton Toth at 778-834-7935


     

    The driver must have a current valid driver license in the class appropriate for the type of vehicle being driven (i.e. motorcycle, bus)
    The vehicle must have valid ICBC insurance including Liability Insurance.
    The District of Sechelt will not be responsible for any claims that arise out of the operation of the vehicle. *this refers to motor vehicles that would ordinarily be covered by ICBC 

     

  • Parade Registration fees are non-refundable after June 23, 2026

     

    REGISTRATION IS FREE for community groups and shíshálh Nation members.
