    Fall 2025 Session Times

There are two sessions of this training that will run concurrently over the course of 13 weeks (12 weeks with one break). This application allows you to apply to either of the following course sessions:

Sundays: 7 September - 30 November, 5-8pm Eastern Time (U.S.). Skipping 19 October 2025. (check your time zone)

    or

Tuesdays: 9 September - 2 December from 1-4pm Eastern Time (U.S.) Skipping 21 October. (check your time zone)

**These sessions will take place over a time change in the United States, which may affect your meeting time. If you live outside of the U.S., please note that we are changing times on 2 November 2025. For those in the U.S., your clocks will jump forward by one hour.**

    Time Commitment

We expect you to attend all 12 training sessions, barring extenuating and unforeseen circumstances. Because we are prioritizing small groups for this training, please only complete this application if you are available to attend each of the session times listed above.

We will meet for 3 hours per week, over the course of 13 weeks (12 weeks with one break). You will need to factor in another 2-3 hours per week for resources and out of course connection. Each week, we assign coursework on Mighty Networks to be completed before each session, and will suggest additional materials (e.g. articles, talks, podcast episodes etc..) to help you dig deeper afterwards.

We expect you to engage with the course, and by completing this application, you are indicating that you have the time and space in your schedule to dedicate to this training commitment.

    Accessibility

Each of your training session calls will be hosted on Zoom by LaUra Schmidt and Aimee Lewis Reau. Familiarity with the Zoom platform is recommended.

This training will be hosted in English. We would like to be able to offer this course in other languages, but are still a very small nonprofit organization and do not have that capacity at this time. We will use closed captions in each session.

GGN will host this course on our community-building platform, Mighty Networks. GGN will provide technological tutorials for those new to the platform, to help them get oriented.

    Course Costs & Scholarships

GGN encourages you to apply for our next training in Spring 2026 if you don't make it into this one.

Application review starts in June and participants are accepted on a rolling basis until the first week of September. It's not too late to apply!

  • A 12-Week Training in the Art of Facilitating Brave, Emergent Spaces

A course by Good Grief Network founders, LaUra Schmidt & Aimee Lewis Reau
  • Pre-Application Self Assessment

Are you ready to engage in the FLOW facilitator training?

The FLOW Facilitation training is a 36+ hour experience that investigates the state of the world and our inner & collective relationship to the predicament (or polycrisis). It requires a commitment of time, energy, and heart. Additionally, holding space for others as they explore their heavy and painful feelings requires that we, as facilitators, have done our own processing. What follows are a series of questions that will help you discern if the FLOW Facilitation Training is right for you, at this moment in your life.

Please read and reflect on each of these questions. If you find that you are indeed ready for this training, complete the application by hitting next at the bottom of the page.

  • Please consider what prevented you from selecting "yes" to one or more of the questions above.
We recommend being able to select "yes" to all of these questions to be able to participate in this training.

If you do not feel ready to take this training, we recommend these resources to help you get there.

  • Application Questions

  • Notes on Intended Payment

GGN offers three tiers of payments for our FLOW Facilitation Training, as well as a number of work exchanges or full and partial scholarships.

Please indicate below what you are able to pay to participate in this training. When selecting, please consider your relative levels of privilege, power, and resources before selecting your payment tier or applying for a scholarship. We only have a limited number of seats available in each tier; we also have a limited number of scholarships and work exchanges and will be prioritizing folks from marginalized identities and limited access to financial resources. While we do our best to award as many work exchanges and scholarships as possible, any scholarship / WE applicant who applies and isn't offered a scholarship or work exchange will be given the option to pay our Solidarity Rate over 3 monthly payments or apply again to our next training. To be eligible for scholarship / WE consideration, you must select the "I am interested in a Scholarship and/or Work Exchange" option below and answer scholarship/WE questions that appear.

If you are accepted, you will be expected to begin payments or pay in full within one week of being notified of your acceptance into the training; your payment (not this application submission) will secure your seat. Because this is a small cohort, if we have not heard from you after one week, we will offer the spot in the course to the next student.

Have an employer or school covering your course? We ask that if a for-profit employer is covering the cost of your participation, please select the Redistribution rate. If a non-profit employer is covering the cost of your participation, please select the Full rate. Please note, we can coordinate with educational institutions if you have a grant to cover your fee.

Please note that all applicants are asked to pay a USD$50 application fee that covers the cost of reviewing and processing your application. If accepted into the program, this cost will be substracted from your total payment. If you are applying for a scholarship/work exchange and after considering your relative levels of privilege, power, and resources have determined that this fee would prevent you from participating, please request to waive it. This will not affect your considerations for this training.

If you have any questions about our scholarships, work exchanges, or any other payment questions, please feel free to email us: hello@goodgriefnetwork.org
