  • COMPETITION INFORMATION

  • Click HERE for a full list of approved talent types (required by the Miss America Organization) as well as talent rules and regulations. For any talent questions, please ask! We are happy to help!

    Contestants may change their talent type after submitting this form.

    *Contestants performing cheerleading or ballroom dancing may use a partner. The partner request must be approved by the Miss Spokane Organization. Partners must dress in all black and have no solo performances. For more partner rules, click HERE.

    **A HERStory is different from a monologe. A monologue is a piece written by someone else. A HERStory is self-written by the contestant.

  • Contestants are required to have a Community Service Interest (or CSI). We are here to help if you have questions or need help deciding which Community Service Interest is right for you - just ask! Contestants should pick something they feel passionate about.

    Examples: "Setting Scoliosis Straight"; "Let's Go Play Today: Making Youth Sports and Arts More Accessible"

  • I grant to the Miss Spokane Organization, and its representatives, the right to take photographs and videos of me and my property. I authorize Miss Spokane Organization, its assigns and transferees to copyright, use and publish the same in print and/or electronically. I agree that the Miss Spokane Organization may use such photographs or videos of me with or without my name and for any lawful purpose, including for example such purposes as publicity, advertising, and web content. I understand and agree that I shall have no claim or right to those photographs, tapes and films. I understand and agree that this provision refers to and includes all photographs, tapes and films from any activities relating to the competition, including but not limited to interviews, rehearsals and publicity events, either individually or as a member of a group.

  • ELIGIBILITY

  • I meet the standards and qualifications put forth on the Miss Spokane website. I have reviewed the 2026 Contestant Guide Book and will be able to attend all events including:

    January 18: Rehearsal #1 & Headshots, Fashion Show

    February 1: Rehearsal #2

    February 8: Rehearsal #3

    February 14: Private Interviews 

    February 15: On Stage Competition

    The Winner of Miss Spokane's Teen 2026 Only:

    • State TEEN Pinecone Coronation: TBA* (Traditionally the first weekend in April in Olympia, WA)
    • State TEEN Forum: TBA* (Traditionally the first weekend in May in Olympia, WA)
    • State TEEN Competition: TBA* (Traditionally the last week of June or first week of July in Olympia, WA): 

    The Winner of Miss Spokane 2026 Only:

    • State MISS Forum: TBA* (Traditionally the first weekend in May in Olympia, WA)
    • State MISS Competition: TBA* (Traditionally the first or second week of July in Olympia, WA)

    *The Miss Spokane Scholarship Organization does not control these dates/locations, nor when they are selected/announced. As soon as the Miss Washington Scholarship Organization announces these dates, they will be updated.

  • FEES & ASSOCIATED COSTS

  • I understand the following associated fees, costs, and fundraising requirements:

    • Contestants are to provide all of their own wardrobe for the competition (interview, opening, fitness, talent, and evening wear).
    • $49.99 (per year) Registration fee on the Miss America Organization website (HERE). This is a requirement from the Miss America Organization. If a contestant has already competed in a 2026 local competition, she does not need to pay this fee again. Please do not register and pay this fee until we have confirmed your eligibility to compete.
    • $100 Early bird / $150 regular registration fee. Early bird deadline is November 15, 2025. Registration fee is due at the time of submitting this entry form. Fees are non-refundable. 
    • Rebel Athletic Top and Bottom (HERE). The Miss America Organization requires all local contestants to wear a Rebel Athletic fitness outfit for the fitness competition. Not all options shown on the website link above are availble to wear for the Miss Spokane and Miss Spokane's Teen Competition. See the Contestant Handbook for a list of the available options. It is the contestant's responsibility to order her fitness outfit, making sure that it arrives on time and fits properly prior to the competition. Contestants are more than welcome to borrow or purchase used items from previous contestants/titleholders.
    • Raise $30 for the American Heart Association Fundrasier. All contestants are required to raise funds for the American Heart Association. This is a requirement from the Miss America Organization. 
    • $200 Minimum in program magazine advertisement sales. Contestants are encouraged to approach local businesses and sell advertisement space in our program magazine. The more program magazines sold, the more scholarship we are able to award. There are incentives for the contestants that sell the most advertisements. Program magazine advertisment prices are $150 for half page or $200 for full page. More information can be found in the contestant handbook and advertisement order form.
