We at Studio 55 Martinez are excited to invite you to exhibit your works at the gallery. "Joy in Small Things” is an opportunity for you to display small works that may be purchased and given as cherished gifts for the holidays.

 

Eligibility: This exhibition is open to all emerging and established artists.

Medium: painting, drawing, printmaking, illustration, watercolor, oil, acrylic, collage, ink, pencil, mixed media, digital art, photography, fiber and textile art, and sculpture.

 

Submission guidelines:

a. Artist may submit up to 3 pieces of artwork in any medium

b. Submissions must be high-resolution JPEGs at 300dpi, with the longest side measuring 1200 pixels without the frame or mat.

c. Submissions must include a description.

 

Fees & sales agreement:

a. Non-refundable $10 per submission.

b. 25% commission upon sale of artwork.

 

Work must be "installation ready", meaning: 

a. Work must be framed or gallery-wrapped and ready for hanging

b. Flat D-ring, hardware, and wire must not be visible.

c. Work must be ready to hang with a wire. No saw-tooth hangers or protruding screw eyes.

d. Work must be celan and the frames in good condition

e. Unframed canvas and panels will have gallery-warpped sides with no staples visible.

 

Dates & deadlines:

a. approval/decline notices will be sent out on November 15

b. Drop off on or before Sunday, November 23, during gallery hours. 

c. Reception Saturday, December 6

d. Pick up December 26, 27, 28 during gallery hours.

 

The Artist's homeowner'r or renter's insurance should cover any possible damage or loss to the artowrk while it is outside the home. Please check the policy to insure any damage to artwork will be covered.

Studio 55 Martinez reserves the right to use images of art for marketing purposes.

Artists should attend the reception and invite family and friends to attend if possible. Studio 55 will provide beverages for the reception. Artists should promote the exhibition and reception on their social media and via word of mouth. Artists can pick up flyers for the show to distribute.
